We are not publishing a contact number for Finsap Loans. We could not verify an NCR registration for it, and the pattern described repeatedly by consumers who have dealt with it is one the National Credit Regulator warns about directly.

If you have been offered a loan by this company, read this page before you pay anything at all.

What consumers report

Across consumer review and complaint sites, the accounts are consistent with each other: an approved loan, then a demand for an upfront “insurance” fee before payout, then no loan. Several describe being told to pay the fee to a person described as the company accountant, and being asked for a further “cancellation fee” when they tried to get the first payment back.

We are reporting what consumers describe, not making a legal finding. What we can state as fact is the law, and the law is unambiguous on this point.

The rule that settles it

Under the National Credit Act, an upfront payment for a loan is unlawful. It does not matter whether it is called insurance, initiation, administration, clearance or a courier charge. A lender that asks you to pay before it pays you is breaking the law.

The demand for a second payment to release or refund the first is the same scheme continuing. Paying it does not recover the first amount.

A claim to be “approved by the NCR” is not a registration. Search the company name on the register and check that a live registration exists, and that it is a credit provider registration rather than something else.

Frequently asked questions

Is Finsap Loans registered with the NCR?

We could not verify a registration. Search the company on the NCR’s Register of Registrants at ncr.org.za, or call 0860 627 627, before dealing with it.

Is an insurance fee before payout normal?

No. Any upfront payment for a loan is unlawful under the National Credit Act.

Should I pay a cancellation fee to get my money back?

No. A demand for a further payment to release a refund is a continuation of the same scheme.

NCR details were read on official sources on 25 August 2026. Consumer accounts are summarised from public complaint and review sites and are reported as such.
