Lotto Contact Details
For the South African National Lottery, the working contact route is the National Lotteries Commission (NLC) switchboard on 0860 065 383, with the information centre email at nldtf@nlcsa.org.za. The lottery operator itself, Sizekhaya, publishes no contact number or email address anywhere on nationallottery.co.za, so any “National Lottery call centre” number found on a directory should be treated as unverified.

08600 NLDTF is a mnemonic, and the letters map to 65383. Use the digits if your handset does not map letters.
Why there is no national lotto contact number to call
The licensed operator publishes no contact number and no email address: nationallottery.co.za renders a contact page with no telephone number and no email anywhere on it. That makes the NLC routes in the table above the verifiable ones, and it also makes caution worthwhile: the National Lottery Commission itself says to treat any “National Lottery call centre” number found on a directory as unverified.
Game rules, draw results and ticket queries sit with the operator, which is precisely the organisation that lists no direct line. Raise a ticket, prize or retailer matter with the operator first, keeping the ticket itself: a lottery claim rests on the physical or digital ticket, and without it there is generally no claim.
Lotto head office: the NLC in Pretoria
The regulator behind the lottery keeps the published office. NLC head office is at Block D, Hatfield Gardens, 333 Grosvenor Street, Hatfield, Pretoria, 0083, and the postal address is Private Bag X101, Brooklyn Square, Pretoria, 0075. The NLC does not publish switchboard operating hours, and players must be 18 or over.
What the National Lotteries Commission handles
The NLC regulates the National Lottery and administers the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund, which channels lottery proceeds to good causes. The nldtf@ address is the route for grant funding enquiries, and it is the commonest reason organisations contact the NLC. The Commission also handles complaints about the conduct of the lottery, licensing and compliance.
Draw times: when ticket sales close and results are out
The South African National Lottery runs LOTTO, PowerBall and Daily Lotto. Ticket sales close at 20:40 on draw days for all three games, and winning numbers are drawn shortly afterwards and published from 21:00.
Lotto scams: what a real win notification never asks
Lottery scams are among the most common frauds in South Africa. You cannot win a lottery you did not enter, and no legitimate lottery asks a winner to pay a fee, tax or courier charge to release a prize. Never send money or an OTP to claim a lottery win, and do not share banking details in response to a win notification.
Unresolved conduct complaints go to the NLC. Beyond it, the Commission falls under the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, and maladministration by a public entity can be taken to the Public Protector. For gambling harm, the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation counselling line is 0800 006 008.
