ISACA is a United States based professional association for IT audit, security, risk and governance, best known in South Africa for the CISA, CISM, CRISC and CGEIT credentials. There is a South Africa Chapter, but it is a volunteer chapter rather than a staffed local office, and the two are contacted differently.

ISACA South Africa Chapter

That is not an oversight to work around. A volunteer chapter is run by members in their own time, so the form routes to whoever currently holds the role. Chapter officers change annually, which is exactly why a personal address is not published, and why an address you find on an old page is likely to reach someone who left the committee years ago.

There is no South African toll-free number

ISACA publishes international toll-free lines for a list of countries that includes Australia, Canada, China, Germany, India, Italy, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, the Philippines, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. South Africa is not on that list. Calling +1-847-660-5505 from South Africa is an international call at your own operator’s rates. Submitting a ticket costs nothing, and for exam bookings, CPE queries and certification maintenance the ticket is usually the better route anyway.

A note on training providers

Several South African companies sell CISA and CISM training. Being an ISACA Accredited Training Organization is a specific status ISACA grants and lists; a training provider is not the same as ISACA and cannot register you for an exam, waive a requirement or issue a credential. Book the exam yourself through ISACA, and treat a promise of a guaranteed pass as the warning sign it is.
