There is no NSFAS office in Pretoria listed on the NSFAS website. NSFAS calls its service a virtual contact centre: phone, WhatsApp, USSD and email. The only physical address it publishes is its head office in Cape Town. For a student in Pretoria, the nearest face-to-face help with NSFAS funding is the financial aid office at your own university or college. Read from nsfas.org.za on 13 September 2026.

Why not a walk-in office

NSFAS lists its head office at The Halyard, 4 Christiaan Barnard Street, Cape Town City Centre. In a statement of 31 May 2025 it said it was working to terminate the lease on that building and was preparing contingency plans for a relocation, so check the contact page before posting anything there. Legal documents for NSFAS have to be emailed to info@nsfas.org.za. NSFAS says documents not logged through that mailbox will be treated as invalid.

Help in person, in Pretoria

Universities and TVET colleges run their own NSFAS or student finance desks, and they can see whether funding has reached your student account. Go there with your student number and your myNSFAS status. For an application, an appeal or an allowance that has not been paid, NSFAS itself has to act, and the channels above are the way in.
