Funeral cover support and claims
To claim, email claims@dischemlife.co.za or call 0800 000 123. Dis-Chem Life says valid claims are paid out in 4 to 48 hours, and accidental death is covered from day one.
What the funeral cover includes, according to Dis-Chem Life:
- Cover from R5,000 to R70,000, with up to 21 people on one policy.
- A cover increase of up to 250% for 3 months at no extra cost. You keep it after that depending on a complementary HealthCheck at a Dis-Chem store.
- You can skip your December premium each year.
- Optional Education Protector (up to R125 000) and Grocery Protector (up to R75 000), with premiums from R69 pm.
Eligibility, account or policy requirements
Keeping the extra cover beyond the first 3 months depends on the complementary HealthCheck at a Dis-Chem store. Better Rewards discounts are a Dis-Chem loyalty benefit: they are not insurance and are not offered by Guardrisk. Dis-Chem Life does not publish other eligibility rules on its contact page, so ask on 0800 000 123 before you sign up.
