Shackleton Risk offers two main product lines:

- Surety bonds, including curator, executor, liquidation, trustee and tutor bonds, plus Road Accident Fund (RAF) surety bonds.
The RAF surety bonds are provided by Safire Insurance Company Limited, which Shackleton Risk’s site names as the insurer. Shackleton can lodge the bond with the Master on your behalf.
Eligibility and policy requirements
Shackleton Risk’s products are aimed at professionals and at people appointed to roles such as executor, curator, liquidator, trustee or tutor who need a surety bond. It does not publish its underwriting requirements on its contact page, so send your enquiry to 087 500 0550 or info@srisk.co.za and ask what documents it needs for your bond or policy.
Ownership has changed recently. The founding Shackleton Group says Shackleton Risk was sold to Safire Insurance Company in 2024, so you may see the Safire name on bond documents.
