MIBCO provident fund contact details (MIFA)
The MIBCO provident fund is administered by MIFA, Motor Industry Fund Administrators, the official administrator of the Motor Industry Retirement Funds (MIRF). MIFA is registered as a Retirement Fund Administrator under Section 13B of the Pension Funds Act. The MIRF funds are the Motor Industry Provident Fund, the Motor Industry Pension Fund, the Auto Workers Provident Fund, the Motor Industry Beneficiary Fund and the Corprates Pension Fund.

MIFA shares MIBCO’s Randburg building at 275 Kent Avenue. It does not publish separate offices in Richards Bay, Pretoria or Bellville; MIBCO’s regional offices assist in person. Two-pot savings claims are made by registering on the MIFA App and choosing Submit a Claim. MIRF publishes application forms for death benefits, refunds or retrenchment, beneficiary nomination, divorce orders, ill-health and surplus unclaimed benefits on mirf.co.za. MIBCO, MIFA and MIRF do not publish a WhatsApp number, so treat any “MIBCO provident WhatsApp” number with caution.
MIBCO Dispute Resolution Centre
Disputes in the motor industry go to MIBCO’s Dispute Resolution Centre at 275 Kent Avenue, Ferndale, Randburg, on 0861 664 226 or fax 011 787 9736. It has a regional mailbox for each area: DRC.HV@mibco.org.za for the Shared Services Centre and Highveld, DRC.KZN@mibco.org.za for KwaZulu-Natal, DRC.NR@mibco.org.za for the Northern Region, and DRC.WC@mibco.org.za for the Western Cape.
According to MIBCO’s Dispute Resolution Centre overview, the DRC is accredited by the CCMA and handles disputes such as unfair dismissals, wage disputes and procedural conflicts, with full-time accredited Commissioners. To refer a dispute, serve a copy of the Referral Form (Form LRA 7.11) on the other party and the DRC within 30 days of a dismissal, or 90 days of an unfair labour practice, by email, fax, registered mail or hand, and keep proof of service. A late referral needs condonation, and the DRC’s Case Management staff can help with the forms. The DRC aims to enrol the dispute for Conciliation or Con/Arb within 30 days of receiving the referral. If conciliation does not resolve it, you request arbitration with Form LRA 7.13; an arbitration award is final and binding and, once certified by the CCMA, enforceable like a Labour Court order.
MIBCO online services
MIBCO’s website links to a Self-Service Portal at sspportal.mibco.org.za with a tutorial, and an online enquiry form on its Contact Us page. It also publishes circulars, bulletins, forms, FAQs, collective agreements and fund benefit information for employers and employees, plus a MIBCO Industry Guide 2026. Live chat with a MIBCO support agent runs on the Contact Us page during business hours. MIBCO describes its role as ensuring compliance, transparency and fair labour practices within the motor industry, supporting employers and employees through collective agreements and dispute resolution.
MIBCO claims, AHP and the employee portal
Employers submit Sick, Accident and Maternity Fund claims for their employees on the Self-Service Portal, and Annual Holiday Pay (AHP) is also claimed there. AHP is leave pay for specific job grades, funded by daily employer contributions, and is paid when a member leaves or after every 12 contributions. The claim forms (Sick Leave Accident Fund, Maternity Leave and AHP) are on mibco.org.za/news-resources/forms/. MIBCO publishes no dedicated claims email; provident and pension fund claims go to MIFA at query@mifa.org.za.
For registration, employers name a compulsory “Liable Person” who performs all functions on the portal. Union registration is voluntary. Sick and accident pay applications are processed daily by the Shared Services Centre; delays are usually caused by missing claimant details, wrong banking details or employer returns that are not up to date. To complain about a processed claim, visit your regional MIBCO office to give an affidavit to a complaints clerk, email the regional office, or lodge a complaint on the portal.
MIBCO does not publish a whistle-blowing hotline; use complaints@mibco.org.za. It also had no festive-season closure notice on its website when checked; for December hours, check the notices on the MIBCO home page or call 0861 664 226.
