Absa does not operate a product called Glacier. Glacier is an investment platform belonging to Sanlam, trading as Glacier by Sanlam, so a Glacier investment query has to go to Sanlam rather than to Absa. If you hold a Glacier investment, the numbers below are the correct route.

Glacier by Sanlam is an investment platform that has operated since 1997, offering local and offshore investment, retirement and financial planning solutions through financial planners. Its agents answer questions about an existing Glacier investment or put you in touch with a qualified financial planner. Glacier operates separate client and intermediary logins, which reflects that much of its business is placed through advisers rather than directly.
Eligibility, account or policy requirements
Glacier client services operate Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00. The office is at Glacier Place, 1 Sportica Crescent, Tyger Valley, with post to Private Bag X5, Tyger Valley, 7536. Note that Glacier publishes its share call number in two formats, as 0860 452 364 and as +27 86 045 2364, which are the same number rather than two separate lines. Have your investment number ready, and if a financial planner placed the investment, that planner may need to submit an instruction rather than you.
Escalation route
Because Glacier sits in the Sanlam group and not in Absa, an unresolved Glacier complaint follows the Sanlam route rather than the Absa one. A complaint about the advice given when an investment was sold goes to the FAIS Ombud on 012 762 5000, and a complaint about how the product itself was administered goes to the National Financial Ombud on 0860 800 900. The Financial Sector Conduct Authority is the licensing authority.
