What this organisation provides
Absa Law is legal expenses insurance. Absa says it covers criminal, civil, labour and family matters, including bail applications and representation in divorce and maintenance cases. All plans include free immediate legal and labour advice and unlimited mediation cover.
Absa lists five plans:
- Premium: R250 per month, no waiting period and up to R278 000 litigation cover
- Gold: R169 per month
- Comprehensive: R130 per month
- Essential: R103 per month
- Core: R70 per month
The plans other than Premium have a three-month waiting period, so a new policy on those plans will not cover a matter straight away.
