NuPay is a payments business that trades as a division of Altron. Its own website at mynupay.co.za currently refuses connections, so the live published route to it is through Altron FinTech, the Altron division it sits in.
Official contact channels
- Alberton head office: 010 060 4444 or [email protected]
- General enquiries: [email protected]
- Sandton: 011 879 5700
- Pretoria: 012 060 0370
- Gqeberha: 041 364 0491
- Altron ethics line for reporting misconduct: 0800 205 352 or [email protected]
The Cape Town, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo and Bloemfontein offices all publish the same 010 060 4444 number as Alberton rather than their own lines, so that number is the general way in and only Sandton, Pretoria and Gqeberha have separate direct numbers.
What this organisation provides
Altron FinTech is the payments arm of the Altron group and describes its business as powering payments. NuPay operates within it, and the name is most often encountered by consumers on a bank statement rather than through any direct dealing, because NuPay processes collections on behalf of other businesses.
That distinction is the important one. If a NuPay entry appears on your statement, NuPay is generally the payment processor rather than the party you owe. The underlying agreement is with whichever business arranged the collection, so asking Altron FinTech to cancel it will usually not resolve anything on its own.

Support and escalation routes
For an unrecognised or disputed debit order, the fastest route is your own bank rather than the processor. Banks are required to reverse a disputed debit order within set timeframes, and a DebiCheck mandate can be queried through the bank that holds your account. Do that first, because it stops the collection while the underlying dispute is sorted out.
After that, the regulator depends on what the collection was for. If it relates to a credit agreement, the National Credit Regulator on 0860 627 627 covers conduct under the National Credit Act. If the money was owed to a business for goods or services, the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud on 0860 000 272 is the route. Misconduct by Altron staff or an Altron business has its own independent channel through the ethics line, which is run by an outside provider rather than by Altron itself.
