Experian South Africa is one of the country’s registered consumer credit bureaus, and its office numbers, such as the Johannesburg head office on 011 799 3400, are not for walk-in consumer queries.

Experian handles consumer queries through two channels only:

Experian says on-site consumer enquiries are not available at any of its offices, so do not visit an office to sort out your credit report.
What Experian provides
As a credit bureau, Experian keeps the credit records that lenders check. Consumers can see their own record free of charge on Up, and the report there updates daily. If something on it is wrong, you dispute it on the same platform:
- Register on Up, powered by Experian, at up.experian.co.za and view your free credit report.
- If any information is incorrect, log a dispute through the Up portal.
- Experian investigates and responds within 20 business days.
