Mediation is a third thing, not lending and not debt review
This is where people get confused, because three different services all involve debt.
- A credit provider lends money. It holds an NCRCP registration.
- A debt counsellor restructures what you owe across all your creditors and puts you under debt review. It holds an NCRDC registration.
- Alternative dispute resolution mediates a specific dispute between a consumer and a credit provider or collector, over arrears or a disputed account, without putting you under debt review.
- The National Credit Act recognises this third route, defining alternative dispute resolution as resolving credit disputes by arbitration, mediation or conciliation.
Ask for the registration before you commit
The company’s contact page does not publish an NCR registration number. That is not an accusation, but it is a gap you should close yourself before handing over money or documents.

The dialling codes do not match the address
Worth noticing, and not in itself a problem. The office address is in Bellville, in the Cape Town area, but the published landline carries an 017 code, which is a Mpumalanga area code. The second number, 087, is a national voice over IP number tied to no location at all.
