BestDrive: Continental’s fitment network
Continental Tyre South Africa says its distribution network in the replacement market is BestDrive by Continental, which runs its franchise network. About Continental Tyre South Africa
Continental Tyre South Africa (CTSA) traces its roots to 1947, when General Tire South Africa was set up by the Williams Hunt Group and General Tire USA. In 1985, Continental AG and General Tire SA agreed to produce Continental-branded tyres in South Africa, and since 2013 CTSA has been 100% owned by Continental AG. It is the only Continental tyre plant in Africa, based in Gqeberha in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. Its sales and marketing organisation and manufacturing plant share one site with more than 1 100 employees, and CTSA supplies most car manufacturers in South Africa.
