FSP Contact Details
FSP 21473 is The Unlimited Group (Pty) Ltd, which the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) register lists as an authorised financial services provider since 14 July 2005. Its customer care, claims and emergencies number is 0861 990 000. To check any other FSP number or firm name, use the FSP search on fsca.co.za, and call the FSCA Contact Centre on 0800 20 37 22 if the register does not answer your question. The older FSP search page still tells users to phone the “FSB call centre” on 0800 110 443. The FSB was replaced by the FSCA in 2018, and the FSCA’s own contact page and its FSP detail pages give 0800 20 37 22, so use that number.
What this organisation provides
An FSP is a person or company licensed under the FAIS Act to give advice on, or sell, financial products such as insurance, investments and medical cover. The FSCA keeps the public register of these licences. You can search it by FSP number, by the firm’s name, by postal code, or by a representative’s ID number.
Each result shows the FSP number, the registered name, any trading name and a status. “Authorized” means the licence is active. “Lapsed” means it is not, so a firm quoting a lapsed number should not be selling to you. The Details button opens the company registration number, the date of authorisation and sections for contact information, compliance officers, representatives, key individuals and the product categories the FSP is approved for.
For FSP 21473, the register shows a private company, registration number 2002/002773/07, authorised on 14 July 2005. The same FSP number and registration number appear in the footer of theunlimited.co.za, which confirms the match. The Unlimited sells motor warranty, scratch and dent, tyre and rim, medical insurance, gap cover, death cover, legal cover and its My Unlimited product, and says it has traded since 1994. Its claims page covers accident cash, accidental death, natural death, gap, warranty and tyre claims.
Address and operating information
The FSCA is at 41 Matroosberg Road, Ashlea Gardens, Pretoria, 0002. Its postal address is PO Box 35655, Menlo Park, 0102. The contact page does not state office or call centre hours. The Unlimited’s contact page gives phone and WhatsApp agent hours of Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm, and says its WhatsApp chatbot answers around the clock, but the page shows no WhatsApp number and no street address.
Before you rely on an FSP number from an advert, a call or a WhatsApp message, check three things on the register: that the number exists, that the name next to it matches the company you are dealing with, and that the status is Authorized. A real number attached to a different company’s name is a common sign of impersonation.
