OneLogix runs a 24-hour incident response control room on a different number from its office line, and it asks that the incident numbers be used only for emergencies. If a vehicle carrying your freight has been in an accident or hijacked, that is the line; anything else goes to general enquiries.
Official contact channels
- 24-hour incident response: 011 396 9012 or 081 013 1177, [email protected]. OneLogix asks that these be used to report an emergency only
- General and sales enquiries: 011 396 9040, [email protected]
- Procurement: 011 396 9040, [email protected]
- Address: 44 Sim Road, Pomona AH, Kempton Park, 1619
- All the mailboxes are department addresses rather than individuals, so they survive staff changes
Tracing a specific load
- OneLogix is a group. Its operating businesses trade under their own names and handle abnormal loads, vehicle delivery, container work and cold chain
- A query about one consignment belongs to the operating company actually carrying it, and that company name is on the delivery note, the waybill or the collection paperwork
- Have the waybill or consignment number in hand before you phone anyone. A load cannot be traced without it, at the group or the operating company
- The group line can tell you which of its businesses handles a service, but it cannot see another company load records
What the group covers
- Customs clearance, bulk transport, abnormal and specialised loads, vehicle delivery, container logistics and cold chain, presented as an end-to-end supply chain offering
- OneLogix states more than 35 years in logistics and Level 1 B-BBEE contributor status
- It publishes its compliance certifications and accreditations on the site, which is what a tender or a supplier vetting process will ask for
- The group is South African with a Southern African footprint rather than a single-country operator
If a load is damaged or lost
- Report it in writing to the operating company immediately, quoting the waybill, and photograph the condition before offloading if you can. A signed clean delivery note is very hard to argue with afterwards
- Ask what goods in transit cover applies and what the excess is. Check whether your own insurer also covers the consignment, and claim in parallel rather than waiting
- For a dispute the company will not resolve, the National Consumer Commission is on 012 065 1940 for consumer consignments
