Planet Fitness publishes a single customer service number and a narrow service window. The gap that matters: the clubs themselves are open at weekends when customer service is not, so a membership or billing problem arising on a Saturday cannot be resolved until the Monday. Club staff can help with access and facilities, but not with the membership contract.

Planet Fitness operates gym and health club facilities on a membership basis, with membership sold as a contract collected by monthly debit order.
Cancellation is the single most common reason people need this number. Planet Fitness states on its own site that to cancel a membership you must contact customer service on 0861 496 463. Cancelling at the club, stopping the debit order at your bank, or simply not attending does not end the contract, and each of those routes tends to leave arrears running.
Before you call about cancellation, have your membership number and identity number to hand, know the date your contract started and whether you are inside a fixed term, and ask three things explicitly: the notice period, the date the final debit order will be taken, and whether any cancellation fee applies. Get the answer and the reference number in writing afterwards – a gym cancellation dispute almost always turns on whether notice was given and when.
Under the Consumer Protection Act a consumer may cancel a fixed-term agreement on 20 business days notice, and the supplier may charge a reasonable cancellation penalty. That right exists regardless of what a membership form says.

Support and escalation routes
Raise the matter with customer service on 0861 496 463 during the published weekday hours, and confirm it in writing so the date is recorded. For anything involving cancellation or money, written confirmation is the evidence that matters.
If Planet Fitness does not resolve it, a gym membership is a consumer agreement and the escalation route is:
- National Consumer Commission, which administers the Consumer Protection Act, for cancellation disputes, continued debits after cancellation and unfair contract terms
Where debits continue after a cancellation you can evidence, raise a debit order dispute with your bank as well. Your bank can stop and reverse an unauthorised debit, which the gym cannot do on your behalf, but keep the cancellation record – reversing a debit without having cancelled properly leaves you in breach instead.
