Planet 24 Contact Details

Official source onlyIndependent directoryPublished by Silas T Nkoana, Cape TownReport a wrong number

We are not publishing contact details for a business trading as “Planet 24”.

We could not establish an official website or a verified contact route for any South African business trading under this name, and the name appears in public consumer complaints about deposits paid for goods that were never delivered.

ContactDetails.co.za publishes contact details that we have read from an organisation’s own official channels. Where we cannot do that, we say so rather than repeat a number from a directory or a listing site.

Why there are no contact numbers on this page

Two things have to be true before we list a number. There must be an official source that publishes it, and the business it belongs to must be identifiable. Neither holds here.

  • No official website. We found no first-party site, contact page or company listing for a South African business trading as Planet 24.
  • Complaint reports. The name appears in published consumer questions about deposits paid to “Planet 24 agents” for vehicles that were not delivered.
  • Similar names. Property, classified and vehicle listing businesses in South Africa use many similar names, and a number attached to the wrong one reaches a business that has nothing to do with your matter.

Publishing an unverified number for a name attached to complaints would route people towards the very thing they are trying to check. We would rather leave the page empty of numbers than do that.

If you have already paid a deposit

Act quickly, because the practical options narrow with time.

  • Contact your bank immediately and ask about a recall or a dispute on the payment. Use the number on the back of your card, not a number someone sends you.
  • Gather your evidence: proof of payment, the advertisement, every message exchanged, and the name, number and bank account you paid into.
  • Report it to the South African Police Service and get a case number. A case number is what your bank and your insurer will ask for.
  • Do not pay anything further, including a “release fee”, a “clearance fee” or a “delivery fee”. Requests for additional payments after a deposit are a common pattern.

Checking a seller before you pay

Before any deposit, particularly for a vehicle or a rent-to-own arrangement, confirm who you are actually dealing with.

  • Ask for the registered company name and registration number, then check it rather than taking a trading name at face value.
  • Be cautious when the bank account is in a personal name rather than the business name.
  • Insist on seeing the goods in person at a business address before paying a deposit.
  • Treat pressure to pay immediately, or to pay into a different account “because the first one is having problems”, as a warning sign.
  • A business that will not give you a landline, a physical address or a registration number is one you cannot trace later.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Planet 24 contact number?

We do not have one we can stand behind. No official website or verified contact route could be established for a South African business trading under this name, so we are not publishing a number.

Is Planet 24 a legitimate business?

We cannot say either way, because we could not identify a registered business behind the name. What we can say is that the name appears in published complaints about deposits paid for undelivered vehicles, which is a reason to verify carefully before paying anything.

Why does this page have no phone number when other pages do?

Because we only publish numbers we have read from an organisation’s own official channels. Where there is no official source, we say so instead of copying a number from a directory.
