SAHUC Contact Details

Verified 27 September 2026Official source onlyIndependent directoryPublished by Silas T Nkoana, Cape TownReport a wrong number

The SAHUC contact number is 010 001 9101, and SAHUC also runs a WhatsApp chat on 060 319 5031. The South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) is a non-profit body that represents South African Muslims on Hajj and Umrah matters, with its head office in Robertsham, Johannesburg.

Hajj registration has changed. From Hajj 1447AH (2026), Saudi Arabia moved South Africa to the Direct Hajj model, so pilgrims now register and buy packages on Saudi Arabia’s Nusuk Hajj platform at hajj.nusuk.sa, not through SAHUC.

Official contact channels

SAHUC’s contact page lists one head office number, 010 001 9101 (+27 10 001 9101 from abroad). The same page carries a WhatsApp chat button linked to 060 319 5031, which opens with a greeting asking how SAHUC can assist you.

SAHUC does not publish an email address on its contact page. To write to SAHUC, use the “Send us a message” form at sahuc.co.za/contact-us/ and complete all the requested details so the team can get back to you. SAHUC is also on Facebook (facebook.com/sahucreal) and Instagram (instagram.com/sahuc_hajj).

What SAHUC provides

SAHUC gives Hajj and Umrah guidance to South African pilgrims. It runs Hajj seminars and publishes pilgrim and travel guidance for Makkah and Madinah on its website.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah framework for Hajj 1447AH (2026) excludes the traditional licensed tour operator model. Services in the Kingdom are now contracted directly with Saudi service providers. Under this Direct Hajj programme, pilgrims register, submit documents and book packages on the Nusuk Hajj platform, and SAHUC says it is not the seller of the package or the contracting party.

To register for Hajj under the new model:

  1. Go to the official Nusuk Hajj platform at hajj.nusuk.sa and register.
  2. Complete the application and verification steps.
  3. Select and buy a package from a Saudi service provider on the platform.
  4. For guidance along the way, call SAHUC on 010 001 9101 (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00), use the WhatsApp chat or send the contact form.

The old SAHUC Portal login at portal.sahuc.co.za/p/login is still linked from SAHUC’s website. Under that portal, the Hajj registration fee was once-off and non-refundable, ranging from R100 to a maximum of R309 per pilgrim including VAT.

Address and operating information

SAHUC’s head office is at 59 Xavier Street, Robertsham, Johannesburg 2092. The office is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 and closed on Saturday and Sunday. SAHUC’s official contact page does not list a separate Cape Town or Durban office, so pilgrims in those cities use the same head office number, WhatsApp chat and form.

Support and escalation routes

Questions about your Nusuk Hajj registration, documents or package belong with Nusuk itself. SAHUC points pilgrims to Nusuk Hajj’s own FAQ page, which offers live chat, a support email, social media and a call centre, and says Nusuk’s published information is the primary source. For general guidance, SAHUC’s head office line, WhatsApp chat and contact form remain the routes to use. SAHUC does not publish a separate escalation line.
