The only contact Sappi lists against Saiccor Mill itself is the mailbox of a named communications staff member. We do not publish individuals’ addresses, because they change with the person rather than with the site, and a switchboard reaches the mill either way.
What Saiccor Mill is
Saiccor Mill was established in 1951 and acquired by Sappi in 1989, the step that took the group into the global dissolving wood pulp market. It sits in Umkomaas on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast, about 50 km south of Durban, inside the eThekwini Municipality.
Sappi describes it as the world’s largest acid sulphite dissolving wood pulp mill. It produces 890 000 tons of dissolving wood pulp a year, employs around 1 200 people, and the company puts the number of people in the surrounding community relying on it at about 30 000.
About 95% of the pulp is exported, into textiles, food and pharmaceuticals. The mill’s flagship brand is Verve, the pulp behind viscose fabric.

Those three do have published switchboards, which is worth knowing if your query is about a different mill and you have been given the Umkomaas address by mistake. Ngodwana is the only one with a published site mailbox rather than a personal one.

Sappi ReFibre buys recovered paper and runs two regional desks: Mandeni for KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape, the Northern Cape and the Free State, and Ngodwana on +27 13 734 6111 for Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, the North West and the Western Cape.

Ask the Rosebank switchboard for Saiccor Mill by name. The company’s own directory files the mill under Umkomaas, KwaZulu-Natal, so that is the phrasing the operator will recognise.
For pulp orders and pricing, use the product enquiry form on the Contact Us page rather than the switchboard. It asks for your company, country, job function and product segment, and pulp is one of the listed segments.
Jobs at the mill go through the career listings on the Saiccor Mill page. At the time we checked, it stated that no opportunities were open, so there was nothing to apply for through it.
One oddity worth knowing: Sappi’s location listing gives its Rosebank postcode as 2196 for most entries and 2198 for the media relations and CSI entries. The street address is the same building in both cases.
