CSD Contact Details
The Central Supplier Database (CSD) contact number for national support is 012 406 9222, and the national CSD email address is csd@treasury.gov.za. Every province also has its own CSD desk at its provincial treasury. These contact details were read on the official CSD portal, secure.csd.gov.za, on 16 September 2026.

The national CSD call centre number is for registration, login, supplier-profile and phishing queries. The portal does not publish call centre hours, a WhatsApp number or a separate line for tracking an application. There is also a “Provide Feedback” option in the portal menu.
The Western Cape mailbox is on the capetown.gov.za domain exactly as the CSD’s own provincial contacts page lists it.
Central Supplier Database registration and supplier number
The Central Supplier Database is the government’s single database of organisations, institutions and individuals that can supply goods and services to the state. It has been the source of supplier information for organs of state since 1 April 2016 and is run under National Treasury’s Office of the Chief Procurement Officer.
Supplier details are verified with bodies such as SARS, the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission and Home Affairs. If information does not match those records, the mismatch often has to be fixed at the source body first.
CSD registration is a two-stage self-service process. First, create a CSD user, activate it from the emailed link and request an OTP by SMS. Then log in, add the supplier and complete the required tabs for identification, industry classification, contacts, address, tax, directors or members, associations, commodities, notifications and B-BBEE before submitting.
Registration is complete once you receive a CSD supplier number and a 36-digit unique registration reference number. With those two numbers, you can view your registration report under Report, then Registration.
CSD portal login and account support
You log in to the CSD portal with your email address and password. The login page includes options for a forgotten password, resending the activation email and changing an incorrect email address.
Before contacting CSD support about an incomplete registration, check the Overview tab in your profile for outstanding information. If you still need assistance, contact your provincial CSD desk or the national desk and have your supplier number and unique registration reference number available.
The CSD warns that bank account verification can take up to four days, so banking details should be captured well before you need to be paid.

No walk-in centre is listed for Gauteng, North West or the Western Cape, and none is listed in Durban or Johannesburg. Suppliers in Johannesburg should use the Gauteng CSD desk. Suppliers in Durban should use the KwaZulu-Natal Treasury desk or its Pietermaritzburg walk-in centre. Suppliers in Pretoria can use the National Treasury centre at 40 Church Square, Pretoria.
CSD phishing, suspicious emails and tender fraud
For phishing or suspicious CSD emails, the CSD asks suppliers to report them to csd@treasury.gov.za or 012 406 9222. Tender fraud or corruption can be reported to the National Anti-Corruption Hotline on 0800 701 701, published by the Public Service Commission.
The CSD says it will never ask for banking details by post, email or SMS, will not send links to other websites, does not send .htm or .html attachments and will never ask for credit card details.
It names fake emails from csd@treasury.co.za as an example of a scam address. The real domain ends in gov.za. The CSD also warns about fake requests for quotations. Before responding to one, phone the department using the contact details on that department’s own website.
