GE HealthCare sells imaging, ultrasound, patient monitoring and contrast agents into South African hospitals, but it publishes no South African contact page, no South African phone number and no South African office address on its own website. The site’s own country list maps South Africa to the Global / EN site rather than to a local one. There is no en-za version; gehealthcare.co.za does not answer at all. Countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, India, Japan and the Middle East each get their own site. South Africa does not.

A number beginning 1-800 or 1-866 is a North American toll-free prefix. It is generally not dialable from South Africa at all, and where it is, it is not free. These are listed here so you recognise them for what they are rather than spending money trying.

Installed imaging and monitoring equipment in South Africa is supported under a service agreement, and the service contract carries the contact route — usually a named service organisation and a case number process, not a public number. Look at the contract or the sticker on the equipment itself rather than the website. A biomedical engineering department will already have this; if you are the one looking it up, ask them first.
