Clientele Debit Order Reversal Contact Details
People searching for a Clientele debit order reversal number usually want one of two things: their money back for a premium that went off, or the debit order to stop for good. Those are handled by different parties. A reversal is a transaction on your bank account, so it is requested from your own bank. Stopping future premiums means dealing with Clientele about the policy. This page covers both routes. Clientele’s details were read from clientele.co.za on 14 September 2026.
ContactDetails.co.za is independent and cannot see your policy or bank account. For Clientele’s other departments, see Clientele contact details.

Clientele’s office hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 and Saturday 08:00 to 12:00, at Clientele Office Park, corner Rivonia and Alon Road, Morningside. Its contact form has a dedicated Billings/Debit Order reason, which sends the request to the right team.
What you need before contacting
- Your policy number, or the ID number of the policyholder.
- The bank statement line for the debit order: date, amount and the reference it carries.
- A clear decision about what you want: a refund of one premium, cancellation of the policy, or a change of debit date or amount.
- Whether you approved the debit order through DebiCheck. Clientele supports DebiCheck, the bank system where you confirm a debit order on your phone before it can run.
Step-by-step contact process
- Decide whether the policy should continue. Reversing a premium without cancelling can leave a funeral or legal policy unpaid, and cover may lapse exactly when it is needed.
- To cancel or change the policy, contact Clientele on WhatsApp 067 342 7248, on 011 320 3000, or through the form with the Billings/Debit Order reason. Ask for written confirmation and a reference.
- To get a premium back, ask your bank to reverse the debit order through its app, online banking or call centre. Banks set their own limits; Absa, for example, only allows debit orders under R500 to be reversed online.
- If you never took out the policy, tell your bank it is unauthorised and use the Potential Fraud/Misrepresentation reason on Clientele’s form, so the sale itself is investigated.
Escalation route
If Clientele keeps collecting after you cancelled in writing, or does not resolve a complaint, choose Compliments/Complaints on its contact form and quote your reference. Insurance complaints that the insurer does not resolve go to the National Financial Ombud Scheme on 0860 800 900 or info@nfosa.co.za.
Be wary of inbound calls offering to reverse or refund premiums. A caller who asks for your banking PIN, a one-time PIN or an upfront fee is not your insurer or your bank. Contact Clientele yourself on the numbers above.
