Claims and product support

To claim, call 0860 222 274 or submit a funeral or life insurance claim online on Old Mutual’s claims page. For death claim forms, the claims page gives 0860 60 7000. Forms can also be posted to MutualPark, Jan Smuts Drive, Pinelands 7405, or PO Box 4512, MutualPark 7451.

The four life cover types are:

• Protect Life Cover: a single amount, from R100 000. It also pays if the insured person is diagnosed with a terminal illness with less than 12 months to live.
• Life Income Cover: a monthly income, from R3 000 a month.
• Last Survivor Cover.
• Accidental Death Cover: R100 000 to R2 million.

Add-ons include Disability, Illness, Child Illness and Own Occupation benefits and Premium Protection.

Eligibility and policy requirements

• No medical tests are needed for cover up to R3 million as a single amount or R10 000 a month.
• Accidental Death Cover needs no medical tests up to its maximum.
• Cover starts up to 30 days before the first premium is payable.
