The Old Mutual medical aid call centre is 0860 100 076 (or +27 11 208 1021 from abroad), and general enquiries go to enquiries@omsmaf.co.za. The only Old Mutual medical aid is the Old Mutual Staff Medical Aid Fund (OMSMAF), a closed scheme whose membership is restricted to Old Mutual employees.

OMSMAF call centre and email routes
OMSMAF members should start with the claims and benefits call centre on 0860 100 076, or +27 11 208 1021. It is open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 19:00 and Saturday from 08:00 to 13:00, excluding public holidays. Enquiries emailed to enquiries@omsmaf.co.za have a 5-working-day turnaround.

Managed care programmes
The chronic, oncology, maternity, mental health and disease management programmes work Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00. Chronic medicine goes to chronic@omsmaf.co.za and the oncology case manager, for patients diagnosed with cancer, is at oncology@omsmaf.co.za. The HIV and AIDS management programme is on 0860 378 800.

For a medical emergency, OMSMAF lists ER24 on 084 124. PAED-IQ’s Babyline is on 0860 666 110.
OMSMAF membership and plans
OMSMAF is a closed scheme: membership is restricted to Old Mutual employees. It has four plans:
- Hospital Plan, from R1 707 per month
- Network Plan, from R1 484 per month
- Savings Plan, from R3 130 per month
- Traditional Plan, from R5 288 per month
Members of the public looking for Old Mutual health products get Health Cover, such as Gap Cover and Severe Illness Cover, through an Old Mutual adviser. The Old Mutual call centre on 0860 933 333 is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.
Escalations, fraud and other schemes

- If it is not resolved, escalate to the call centre team leader at escalations@omsmaf.co.za. Escalations have a 24-hour turnaround.
- If it is still not resolved, escalate to the call centre manager or the Fund Manager, and then to the Principal Officer.
