There are two BUCO stores in Mthatha, not one, and they are different in opening time and in what they can do for you. Getting the right one first matters, because only one of them delivers.

Progress Street opens half an hour earlier on weekdays, at 07:00 against 07:30, and runs to 17:30 from Monday to Thursday and 17:00 on Friday. Elliot Street keeps the same closing times but starts at 07:30. Both trade on Saturday from 08:00 to 15:00 and both are closed on Sunday, so neither is an option for a Sunday job.
As at other BUCO branches, the email addresses published against these two stores belong to individual staff members rather than to the stores themselves. They are not listed here, because a personal work address stops working when that person leaves. Telephone the branch and ask where to send anything you need in writing.

The two carry different postal codes even though both are in Mthatha, which is a useful way to check you have the right one on a delivery note or an account application.
Services at this location
This is where the branches diverge, and it is the reason to read before you drive. Progress Street offers Insta Cupboard, paint mixing and tinting, Pensioners Wednesdays, buyouts, delivery and financial services. Elliot Street offers Insta Cupboard, Pensioners Wednesdays and buyouts only.
So if you need materials delivered to a site, or paint mixed to a colour, or an account, Progress Street is the branch. Elliot Street is a counter and collection store. Both run buyouts, which means the branch will source an item it does not stock rather than turning you away, and that is worth asking about before you drive to the other one.

Both stores are BUCO branches within The Building Company group.
