Makro Germiston Contact Details

Makro Germiston sits in Meadowdale, in the industrial belt east of Johannesburg. Makro does not publish a telephone number for any individual store, so the contact details below are the national ones, and the address and hours are what make this page specific to Germiston.

Local channels

• National contact number: 0860 600 999
• National WhatsApp: 060 019 7747
• National email: info@makro.co.za
• No direct Germiston store line exists, and any number advertised as one did not come from Makro

That last point is worth taking seriously. Because Makro publishes no branch numbers, a store-specific number circulating on a directory or a classified advert has no official source behind it, and should not be trusted for anything involving payment.

Address

• Address: 16 Herman Road, Meadowdale, Germiston, Gauteng, 1614
• Meadowdale is an industrial and warehousing node between Germiston and Edenvale
• Head office for the chain: 16 Peltier Drive, Sunninghill, Sandton, 2157

The Meadowdale setting shapes the trip. This is a warehousing area rather than a shopping precinct, so approach roads carry truck traffic during the working week and the surrounding businesses keep industrial rather than retail hours.

Services at this location

• Monday to Friday: 08:30 to 18:00
• Saturday: 08:00 to 17:00, Sunday: 09:00 to 16:00
• Public holidays: weekdays 09:00 to 16:00, Saturday 08:00 to 16:00, Sunday 09:00 to 16:00
• Closed on Christmas Day and New Year Day
• Warehouse retail across food, liquor, general merchandise and trade supplies

The weekday start is 08:30 here, half an hour earlier than the Cape Town stores, which matters if you are collecting stock before a working day starts.

Parent organisation

• Makro is part of the Massmart group, and all customer contact is routed nationally rather than through stores
• Complaints: 0860 600 999 or info@makro.co.za, quoting the store name and your till slip
• Unresolved consumer complaints: Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, 0860 000 272, free of charge
• Trade account queries follow the account rather than the store that served you

For a trade customer the account is the thread that ties everything together. A delivery shortfall or an invoice dispute is resolved against the account number rather than against the branch, so quote that rather than the store name.
