Afrihost ClientZone contact and support
ClientZone, at clientzone.afrihost.com, is Afrihost’s customer login. It has no separate phone number. You log a support request in ClientZone or by email to support@afrihost.com, and these are answered Monday to Sunday 07:00 to 23:00. For a call, the toll-free number is 0800 011 000, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00.
How to request an Afrihost call back
- In ClientZone: log in, click Get Help, then Request a Call Me Back, and enter your contact details, the product and your preferred time.
- In the Afrihost App or AirMobile App: use the same Get Help, Call me back route.
- On afrihost.com: open the Contact tab and choose Call me back. Enter your contact details, the department you want the call from, a preferred time and a description. You get a confirmation with the call back date and time.
Call Me Back is only available Monday to Sunday 08:00 to 23:00.
Afrihost sales email and Afrihost for business
Afrihost does not publish a sales email address. The only addresses it publishes are support@afrihost.com, complaints@afrihost.com and accounts@afrihost.com. For sales, use the Call me back form on afrihost.com and choose the sales department, or call 0800 011 000.
Afrihost complaints and accounts email
Afrihost’s terms say complaints must be submitted in writing to complaints@afrihost.com. The complaint should be well detailed and state the nature of the issue and how it relates to Afrihost’s network and services. Billing queries and disputes go in writing to accounts@afrihost.com.
Afrihost in Cape Town, Durban and on X
Afrihost publishes no Cape Town or Durban office or number. Its contact page lists only the Sandton head office and the national toll-free number, 0800 011 000. Afrihost is on X (Twitter) at x.com/Afrihost.
So what do you do after hours
Only the phone line keeps office hours. Afrihost’s other channels run later: WhatsApp until 20:00 on weekdays and 17:30 on weekends and public holidays, email and support tickets until 23:00 every day, and Call Me Back until 23:00 every day.
In order of usefulness after five: check the network status page first, then WhatsApp, then log a support ticket.
Checking status first is not a delaying tactic. Most of what takes an Afrihost line down is the fibre network operator’s fault, not Afrihost’s, and it will already be listed with a timestamp.
Reporting a fault
Afrihost publishes a live network status page, and it is genuinely detailed rather than a token one.
It separates outages, maintenance and resolved items, and filters three ways: by product, by network provider and by province.
- Products: Fibre, DSL, General, Hosting, Mobile, VoIP and Wireless
- Providers: more than thirty, including Openserve, Vumatel, Frogfoot, MetroFibre, Octotel, Evotel, Link Africa, MTN, Vodacom and Zoom Fibre
- Provinces: all nine
Each entry carries a suburb, an impact rating, a timestamp and a plain description of what is wrong, and resolved items are updated in place rather than deleted.
So before you log anything, filter by your province and your fibre provider. If your suburb is listed, the fault is already known and a ticket adds nothing.
Know who your fibre provider is
This is the detail that makes the status page usable, and most people do not have it to hand.
Afrihost is the internet service provider. The company that physically ran the fibre to your house is a different one, and that is the name the outage notices are filed under.
The notices we saw read, for example, that a network operator “has informed us” of an outage affecting a named suburb, and that that operator’s engineers are working on it. Afrihost is relaying, not repairing.
Your provider’s name is on your Afrihost account. Find it once and write it down, because it turns the status page from a long list into a two-click answer.
The help centre is a separate site
Afrihost’s help centre lives on its own address, help.afrihost.com, rather than as a section of the main site.
It is split by product, with separate sections for fibre broadband, fixed wireless internet, Afrihost Mobile, VoIP, email, and domains and hosting. There are also device support pages for routers.
One thing to watch: the older “site/contact-us” web address no longer works. It redirects to a broken address with a doubled slash and returns a page not found. The working page is simply the contact page on the main site.
Paid priority support exists
If office-hours support is not enough for you, Afrihost sells an upgrade rather than extending the free line.
Afrihost Max is described as priority support and extended uptime for fibre, from R299 a month. Afrihost does not publish what the response times or the hours actually are, so ask exactly what you are buying before you add it.
Specifically, ask whether it includes support outside 08:00 to 17:00 on weekdays, because that is the gap most people are trying to close.
Company details
The registered entity is Afrihost SP (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2016/130190/07, at 376 Rivonia Boulevard, Sandton, Johannesburg, 2129.
That address is a head office. Afrihost publishes no walk-in support counter, so arriving in person is not a shortcut past the queue.
Afrihost Vuma fibre contact number
Afrihost publishes no Vuma-specific number. Vumatel is one of the network providers you can filter by on Afrihost’s network status page, and Afrihost clients on Vuma fibre use the standard channels: 0800 011 000, WhatsApp 071 883 5005 or support@afrihost.com.
