Common Axxess queries

  • Forgotten Client Control Panel sign-in details: call 087 821 1100 or email support@internet.co.za. Axxess will need to verify who you are, so keep your ID and/or banking details handy.
  • Billing date: all monthly services are billed from the 1st to the last day of the month. You are invoiced and your data renews on the 1st, whatever date you signed up.
  • Fibre pricing: Axxess sells fibre as combos, so the price covers both data and line rental.
  • Fibre setup: uncapped fibre sign-ups can come with free installation, connection and a fibre-ready Wi-Fi router, valued at up to R5,000, on selected providers (terms apply).
  • Moving house: existing clients sign in to their account to move their service.
  • Network problems: check the Status page on axxess.co.za, which shows ADSL, fibre, mobile, hosting, VoIP and general status by province, before calling.

What Axxess offers

Axxess sells home fibre (monthly and prepaid), 5G and LTE home internet on MTN, Vodacom and Telkom, capped and uncapped mobile data, VoIP calling with its own VoIP number and CallTime, web hosting (Linux shared, VPS, managed VPS, WordPress and email-only), and domain registration. It also sells hardware such as routers, range extenders and backup power. Its help centre explains that Just DSL Uncapped is Openserve’s pure DSL service, with no usage threshold and no voice line needed. ADSL reaches a maximum of 20 Mbps and VDSL up to 40 Mbps, both set by Openserve’s infrastructure.

Axxess hosting, domains and VoIP help

To register a domain, choose a hosting platform on the Axxess Hosting page, use the domain availability checker on the sign-up page, and pick a control panel. The help centre says cPanel costs an extra R15 a month and DirectAdmin is free. Email Only hosting is for people who want a professional email address without a website; it still needs a registered domain. A parked domain is registered and active but has no website or email. Axxess VoIP gives you your own VoIP number for making and receiving calls over your internet connection, and you pay only for the CallTime you use. Hosting queries go to the hosting department during its hours, or through the contact form.

About Axxess

Axxess was founded in 1997 as Axxess Africa, offering website hosting and design, before moving into internet access. It won Internet Service Provider of the Year in 2008 and 2009, and was named Best ISP in South Africa at MyBroadband events in 2015, 2016 and 2017. In 2013 it moved into offices in Port Elizabeth (now Gqeberha), where it employs more than 200 staff. It launched Axxess Mobile in 2014, and says it runs a fully managed 24/7 technical support call centre and is one of the largest privately owned ISPs in South Africa.
