MWEB Contact Details

Verified 14 September 2026Official source onlyIndependent directoryReport a wrong number

MWEB has three contact numbers, one per team, and they differ only in the last four digits. Call 087 700 0777 for technical support, 087 700 2121 for billing, and 087 700 5000 for sales. Technical support and billing are open seven days a week, including public holidays. MWEB also runs live chat on mweb.co.za and in the MWEB app, and takes complaints by email at complaints@mweb.co.za. Everything below was read from mweb.co.za and MWEB’s Help Centre on 14 September 2026.

These are 087 numbers, charged at normal call rates; MWEB does not publish a toll-free number. Pick the team that matches your problem before you dial. A billing agent cannot fix a line fault, and a technical agent cannot reverse a debit order. If your issue covers both, for example a service that was down and a bill you now dispute, start with technical support, get the fault reference, then take that reference to billing.

MWEB live chat

MWEB’s contact page offers live chat in two places. On the website, click the Live Chat window in the corner of the mweb.co.za contact page. In the MWEB app, which is available on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery, live chat is built in. Chat is often quicker than calling for a straightforward question, and it leaves you with a written record of what you were told.

MWEB fault reporting and technical support

To report a fault, call technical support on 087 700 0777, open live chat, or check the Outages page on mweb.co.za first to see whether there is a known problem in your area. The Help Centre has troubleshooting articles and videos for fibre and wireless connections. MWEB is an internet service provider, so a fibre fault may need the fibre network operator that owns the line in your area to fix it. Ask whether the fault sits with MWEB or with the network operator, and keep your fault reference number.

MWEB billing, payments and proof of payment

Billing queries go to 087 700 2121. If your account is in arrears, MWEB’s Help Centre explains how to pay it yourself: log in to your online account on mweb.co.za, click Pay on the arrears notice, and pay by card on the secure Pay-U screen. MWEB says payments made through Pay-U reflect against your account immediately, so you do not need to send proof of payment for them. If your account was suspended, it may take up to 30 minutes to reactivate. If it was suspended for a long time and your fibre does not come back on automatically, contact MWEB’s client services team. You can also manage your products in your online account or the MWEB app.

MWEB email address for support and complaints

MWEB’s contact page does not list a general support email address; it points customers to phone, live chat and the Help Centre instead. The email address MWEB publishes is complaints@mweb.co.za, set out in its Code of Conduct as the address for both billing complaints and all other complaints.

MWEB complaints process

MWEB’s Code of Conduct describes two procedures.

Billing complaints: email complaints@mweb.co.za with a copy of the bill or your account number, the reason for the dispute, the amount in dispute and any supporting documents. MWEB will reach a decision and tell you within 14 working days.

All other complaints: email complaints@mweb.co.za with the details MWEB asks for:

  • your name and surname
  • your account number
  • the date the problem arose
  • a brief description of what happened

MWEB commits to acknowledging the complaint within 3 working days and resolving it in writing within 14 working days, unless you agree a longer period.

You must give MWEB the chance to resolve a complaint first. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may take the dispute to ICASA, the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa, and unresolved disputes can be referred to ICASA’s Complaints and Compliance Committee. ICASA’s consumer complaints address is consumer@icasa.org.za, and its head office is on 012 568 3000.

MWEB head office

MWEB does not publish a head office phone number or walk-in address on its contact page; customer service runs through the three phone lines, live chat and the Help Centre. For a moving home request, an outage check or email settings, use the links on mweb.co.za rather than looking for an office number.
