rain WiFi Contact Details
The rain WiFi contact number is 081 610 1000, rain’s Customer Engagement Centre, also on WhatsApp and backed by the askrain live chat on rain.co.za. rain does not run a separate help line for its home WiFi: router faults, slow speeds, cancellations and complaints about 5G home WiFi all go to the same Customer Engagement Centre on 081 610 1000. rain has no contact page or help centre as such; the details below come from its legal terms, FAQs, store locator and published fact file on rain.co.za, read on 14 and 26 September 2026.
ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory. We are not rain and cannot see your account, router or coverage. For rain’s mobile products and general contacts, see rain contact details.

rain does not publish a general support email address, a separate fault or no-signal line, a network status page or support hours. An email address offering “rain WiFi support” that is not on rain.co.za is not one rain publishes.
How to change or reset your rain WiFi password
rain does not publish a step-by-step guide on rain.co.za for changing or resetting your rain WiFi password, logging into the router admin page, restarting the router or removing phones and other devices connected to your rain router. Router addresses and default logins that appear in search results come from TikTok and third-party router sites, not from rain, so we do not repeat them.
What rain does publish: the the101 router has a touch screen with a tap for support option and a built-in speed test, and friends can scan a QR code on the screen to join your WiFi instead of reading the password off a sticker. rain’s terms tell customers to keep their username and password confidential and to lock the service with a password to prevent unmonitored access by children. For help changing the WiFi password, removing connected devices or restarting the router, use tap for support on the router, the askrain chat on rain.co.za, or call 081 610 1000. See also our rain router support contact details page.
rain WiFi login and sign in
rain’s official website is rain.co.za. Its channels are the website, the rain app, rain stores, sales agents and the Customer Engagement Centre, so you sign in to manage your rain WiFi account through the website or the rain app. rain does not publish a separate forgot-username page on rain.co.za: to recover a rain101 or rain account username, use a rain channel or call 081 610 1000.
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential. If you suspect your account has been compromised, tell rain immediately; rain may then deactivate the details and the account. rain says it may change its username or password requirements from time to time.
What rain WiFi costs and how to apply
rain (Pty) Ltd runs its own national 4G and 5G network. Its home WiFi is fixed wireless: there is no fibre installation or technician. You plug in the the101 5G router at your approved address. Since 8 July 2026 the home range is Unlimited 5G Home WiFi (the101 router), a Pro tier on the the101 pro and a Premium tier with two xtenders, plus rainOne Unlimited, which bundles home WiFi with unlimited mobile on the LoopPhone. All are month to month.
Older products, including the original rainone, the 4G and 5G Home and Work plans and SIM-only 4G, were discontinued from sale on 8 July 2026. rain says existing customers keep their current service and should ask rain support about migrating.
To apply for or register rain WiFi, order Unlimited 5G Home WiFi online at rain.co.za/5Ghomewifi. It is from R679 a month with a free-to-use 5G router, sold for a specific address, and needs 5G coverage there. RICA registration is mandatory for every SIM; if you do not have a valid South African ID, face-to-face RICA is done on delivery with the courier.
How to pay rain WiFi
When you order, you authorise rain to collect payment from your saved card details. rain takes payment on your selected Payment Date, which is the 1st of each month by default, or the preceding business day if that falls on a Sunday or public holiday. The bank statement reference is “rain”. You have 14 days after a payment is processed to dispute it, and a change of payment date applies from the next bill cycle. rain may suspend a service for non-payment, and may offer customers in arrears a “Promise to Pay” plan through a rain channel.
rain stores near you
rain’s registered office is 1st Floor, Cape Quarter Square, 27 Somerset Road, Cape Town 8001 (postal: PO Box 651921, Benmore 2010). Some structured data on rain’s homepage still shows an older Somerset Street address; rain’s legal pages give Somerset Road.
rain lists 14 stores: Cape Quarter (Green Point), Riverside Mall (Rondebosch), Aroma Village (Brackenfell) and Parklands Lifestyle Centre in Cape Town; The Circular Business Park in Gqeberha; The Crescent in Umhlanga and Westwood Mall in Westville; Bonaero Park, Cambridge Crossing (Paulshof), Rand Steam (Richmond), Palm Court (Weltevredenpark) and Dhlamini Junction (Soweto) in Gauteng; Queenswood Quarter in Pretoria; and Centurion Lifestyle Centre. Stores do not have their own numbers; rain lists 081 610 1000 for them. Hours vary by store and are shown on the rain.co.za store locator.
rain lists no store in Bloemfontein or Rosebank and publishes no local numbers, so for rain WiFi contact details in Bloemfontein, Rosebank or near you, use 081 610 1000, WhatsApp on the same number, or askrain.
Faults, cancellations and escalation
Before calling about slow or dropping WiFi, try rain’s own advice: stand the router upright in an open spot, close to a window, and away from cupboards, floors, large appliances and thick walls. For rooms the signal does not reach, rain sells the the101 xtender, which builds a mesh network. rain’s home plans only work on rain-supplied routers, and speeds depend on 5G coverage at your address and on power, so load-shedding can interrupt service.
- Faulty router: rain’s terms say to report a defect within 7 days; once confirmed, rain repairs or replaces it.
- Moving house: rain’s FAQ says the router can be used at another address, subject to coverage there.
- Cancelling: call the Customer Engagement Centre or use a rain channel. A request is not an instant cancellation; fees run until the effective cancellation date. The router is free to use but remains rain’s property and must be returned (rainOne customers return both the router and the LoopPhone), or rain charges its replacement value.
- Unresolved complaint: rain names its Customer Engagement Centre on 081 610 1000 for support and complaints. Keep the reference number from each contact.
