RAM’s contact page also has an enquiry form. For sales, you can open an account, get a quote or ask about a tender. For customer service, you choose a case type: change of address, delivery instructions, collection request or follow-up, proof of delivery, compliment, complaint, or other. Include your tracking number if the enquiry is about a parcel. RAM replies by email or phone.
RAM couriers tracking
Once your booking is confirmed, you get a tracking number in the booking confirmation email and on your waybill. Enter it on ram.co.za for real-time updates. RAM notes that some destinations outside main centres are covered as regional areas. Deliveries there may take longer and do not always match the next-day or economy timeframes, depending on route availability and scheduling.
RAM in Mthatha
RAM says it has more than 40 local hubs, but its website does not list individual branches or a separate Mthatha number. For Mthatha deliveries, collections or tracking, call Customer Care on 0861 726 726 or WhatsApp 082 372 6726. Mthatha is outside the main centres, so allow for regional delivery times.
Parcel size, packing and limits
- The maximum parcel size is 120cm x 60cm x 60cm, and the maximum weight is 30kg per parcel. There is no limit on the number of parcels in a shipment.
- If a parcel is heavier or bigger than you declared, it may be re-rated and charged extra.
- For anything over 30kg, call Customer Care before booking.
- Use a sturdy corrugated box, fill every gap, seal it with packing tape at least 48mm wide, and attach both printed copies of the waybill.
Business accounts and distribution
You don’t need an account to send a parcel with RAM. If you send often, RAM suggests an SME or Large Enterprise account, which gives you real-time tracking, detailed reporting and account management tools. For businesses moving goods at scale, RAM’s distribution services include scheduled linehaul between major hubs, bulk distribution, retail and branch deliveries with reverse logistics, and on-site mail room management. It also offers Drop & Go walk-in drop-offs and specialised courier services for high-value or regulated goods.
