Which TFG WhatsApp number to use

TFG’s help centre publishes three different WhatsApp numbers, and each one does a different job. Message 0860 834 834 for TFG Money self-service: choose option 1, “TFG Money account enquiry”, with your card or account number ready, to see your available credit, credit limit, the instalment due this month, your last payment and a mini-statement. Message 060 944 4884 if you want to apply for a TFG Money account; online and WhatsApp applications are open to South African residents only. Message 060 019 7789 to ask for a higher credit limit. None of these numbers is for Bash online orders, which Bash Support handles by live chat and email.

TFG customer care hours

TFG Money Customer Services on help.bash.com gives its hours as Monday to Saturday 8am to 9pm, Sunday 8am to 7pm and public holidays 8am to 5pm. TFG Limited’s contact page shows Monday to Saturday 08:30 to 21:00 and Sunday 09:00 to 19:00 for Customer Services. Bash Support keeps shorter hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, and Saturdays and public holidays 8am to 3pm, and it says response times can be longer over the festive season.

How to get your TFG account number

TFG uses your 19-digit TFG Money card number as your account number: its payment pages ask for “your 19 digit TFG Money card or account number”, and the same number is the reference for EFT payments. If you have a physical card, the number is on the card. If your card is digital, it sits in the Bash Wallet in the Bash app. If you cannot find it, contact TFG Customer Services at customerservices@tfg.co.za or on 0860 834 834, and have your ID or passport number ready so the agent can confirm who you are.

TFG CVV number for online shopping

If your TFG Money card is a digital card with no physical card, TFG’s help centre says the CVV is sent to you by SMS each time you check out with the card on Bash, to the phone number linked to your TFG Money account. The SMS can take up to 5 minutes and is only sent to South African numbers. If it does not arrive, the usual cause is an outdated phone number, so email customerservices@tfg.co.za to update your details before trying again. When you shop online on any TFG brand, TFG also sends a one-time PIN to confirm it is you, unless the card is saved in your Bash Wallet.

TFG banking details for EFT payments

TFG’s help article on paying by EFT lists these bank details for South African customers. Payments are due by the 1st of each month and must reflect in TFG’s account by then.

  • Bank: FNB Corporate Core Banking, Cape Town
  • Branch code: 204109
  • Account name: Foschini Retail Group (Pty) Ltd
  • Account number: 55790008020
  • Reference: your 19-digit TFG Money account or card number

Most banks let you pick TFG as a listed beneficiary instead of typing the details: on FNB choose “A Public Recipient” and search “TFG – Foschini Retail Group (PTY) Ltd”; on Standard Bank choose “A bank-approved company”; on Absa go to “Pay a new beneficiary”, then “Pay a bill” and enter “Foschini Stores (PTY) Ltd”; on Nedbank use “Subscribe to Billers”; and on Capitec choose “Capitec-registered”, then “Foschini 19-digit card and account”. TFG publishes separate FNB accounts for customers in Lesotho, Namibia and Eswatini on the same help page. Check any banking details you receive by SMS or email against help.bash.com before paying, and never pay into a personal account.

How to increase your TFG credit limit

TFG’s help centre gives two ways to request a credit limit increase: WhatsApp 060 019 7789, or the link l.ead.me/TfgCli. A new limit may not show straight away; TFG says payment information and credit limit changes are not updated automatically, so check again after an hour. Your TFG Money account starts on a 12-month payment plan, and TFG Customer Services can change it to a 6, 18 or 24-month plan; the 18-month plan needs a minimum spend of R1,500 and the 24-month plan R2,500.

Applying for a TFG account

You can apply online at tfg.co.za, on WhatsApp at 060 944 4884, or in any TFG store, including @home, American Swiss, Coricraft, Exact, Foschini, Jet, Markham, Sportscene, Sterns, Totalsports and Volpes. TFG says you need to be 18 or older, have a valid ID or passport and earn at least R2,000 a month, and you may be asked for 3 months’ payslips or bank statements. If you are approved, TFG sends an SMS asking you to sign the credit documents in store, and you may have to pay a 15% deposit until your first instalment is paid in full. Status queries go to newaccountsqueries@tfg.co.za.

Lost cards and suspected fraud

If your card is stolen, TFG asks you to email customerservices@tfg.co.za immediately so the card can be blocked. Replacement cards are collected in store for a small fee, and you need to bring your ID or passport. If you see a purchase you did not make, contact TFG’s fraud line on 021 938 7415, WhatsApp 0860 834 834 or forensicdept@tfg.co.za. TFG Credit Forensics may SMS or call you about suspicious transactions and block the card for security; contact them straight away to stop fraud or to have the block lifted.

TFG customer service complaints

TFG’s complaints process starts where the problem happened. In a TFG store, staff try to resolve it on the spot and escalate to the Area Manager if they cannot. For a Bash online order, Bash Customer Support escalates unresolved complaints to a Bash Customer Support Manager. Complaints that reach TFG’s Head Office are aimed to be resolved within 15 business days. If you are still not satisfied, TFG directs you to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud: sharecall 0860 000 272, complaints@cgso.org.za, or cgso.org.za. For account queries such as payment arrangements, closing or reactivating a card, or updating personal details, TFG’s help centre sends you to TFG Money Customer Services.

TFG head office and corporate contacts

The Foschini Group’s head office is the Stanley Lewis Centre, 340 Voortrekker Road, Parow East, Cape Town, 7500, switchboard +27 21 938 1911, postal address PO Box 6020, Parow East, 7501. TFG Limited’s contact page also lists media@tfg.co.za for press queries, investor_relations@tfg.co.za for investors, supplytoTFG@tfg.co.za for non-merchandise suppliers, groupmerchandiseproc@tfg.co.za for merchandise procurement and webmaster@tfg.co.za for website issues. These mailboxes do not handle store card or account queries.
