A TFG account, now called the TFG Money account, is the store credit account used across The Foschini Group’s brands, such as Foschini, Markham, Sportscene, Totalsports and @home. The fastest way to check your balance or get a statement summary is WhatsApp self-service on 0860 834 834. For account enquiries by phone, TFG lists 0860 037 755 (or +27 21 938 7560 from outside South Africa), with payment queries to payment@foschini.co.za. To pay online, go to bash.com/paynow. The payments mailbox uses the foschini.co.za domain rather than tfg.co.za. That is how TFG Limited publishes it on its own contact page, so it is not a sign of phishing.

How to apply for a TFG account: WhatsApp number and online application

The TFG account application WhatsApp number is 060 944 4884. TFG’s help page lists three ways to apply for a TFG Money account: online at tfg.co.za, on WhatsApp at 060 944 4884, or in any TFG store. This application number is different from the self-service WhatsApp number (0860 834 834), which is for balances, statements and existing accounts. Both numbers are published on help.bash.com.

• Who can apply: you need a valid South African ID or passport, must be 18 or older, and may be asked for 3 months’ proof of income (payslips or bank statements). Approval depends on affordability.
• South African residents only online: online and WhatsApp applications are for South African residents. Applicants from neighbouring countries may only apply for credit in their home country.
• After approval: you get an SMS asking you to go into a store to sign the credit documents and collect your card. A 15% deposit may be required before the first instalment is paid in full.
• Application status: TFG handles status updates through TFG Customer Services on WhatsApp 0860 834 834 or customerservices@tfg.co.za. New account queries can also go to newaccountsqueries@tfg.co.za.

Which shops accept the TFG account (TFG stores)

A TFG Money account lets you shop at over 20 TFG brands, with 6 months interest-free credit (service fees may apply) and automatic TFG Rewards membership. TFG says you can apply in any of these TFG stores: @home, American Swiss, Archive, Beautybox, Coricraft, Dial-a-bed, Exact, Fabiani, Foschini, Granny Goose, G-Star Raw, Hi, Jet, Markham, Mojo Beds, TheFIX, Relay Jeans, RFO, Sneaker Factory, Sportscene, Sterns, Totalsports and Volpes.

How to check your TFG account balance

• WhatsApp: message 0860 834 834 and follow the TFG Money account enquiry option, with your card or account number to hand. You can see your balance, available credit, credit limit and the instalment due this month.
• Bash app: if you have added your TFG Money account card to your Bash Wallet, open the Bash Wallet and tap the card.
• Bash website: once the card is in your Bash Wallet, go to Profile and click TFG Money account.
• In store: ask at a TFG store.

TFG account statement

TFG sends a link to your statement every month by email or SMS. It shows your balance, the payment due and your transaction history. The statement password is your ID number, or the passport number you used when you applied for the account. You can also view a statement summary on WhatsApp at 0860 834 834, and see the last 30 days of transactions under Transactions on your TFG Money account card in the Bash app or on the Bash website.

How to pay your TFG account

TFG Money account payments are due by the 1st of the month, which means the money must reflect in TFG’s bank account no later than the 1st. TFG lists these ways to pay:

• Online at bash.com/paynow: by Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card, or Pay by bank (Instant EFT) with Absa, Capitec, FNB, Investec, Nedbank, Standard Bank or TymeBank
• Debit order: set one up at mandate.qlink.co.za/tfgdebitorder
• In store: cash or card at participating stores, including @home, American Swiss, Exact, Foschini, Markham, Sportscene, Sterns and Totalsports
• EFT through your online banking, or cash or EFT at an ATM, following the step-by-step guides on the TFG Money help pages

If you are outside South Africa, TFG’s help page says account payments from abroad can only be made in store. The TFG Money EFT and ATM guides on help.bash.com set out the beneficiary and reference details to use. Only pay through these official channels, never into a personal bank account.

Paying your TFG account online

To pay your TFG account online, go to bash.com/paynow and pay by Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card, or by Pay by bank Instant EFT. The payment must reflect by the 1st of the month. More payment routes are on our TFG account payment contact details page.

TFG login and linking your account

To manage the account online, add your TFG Money account card to your Bash Wallet in the Bash app, which links it to your Bash profile on the app and website. TFG’s help centre covers the common problem where entering your ID number or account number to link the card returns “card not found”. If you cannot link it, contact TFG Customer Services at customerservices@tfg.co.za or on WhatsApp at 0860 834 834.

Payment arrangements, limits and lost cards

TFG’s help centre directs these queries to TFG Customer Services: account applications and status updates, payment arrangements or debit orders, lost or stolen cards, and general queries about TFG financial products. For a question about increasing your limit, start there too: contact customerservices@tfg.co.za or WhatsApp 0860 834 834. If you are struggling to pay, ask about a payment arrangement before you fall into arrears, because a TFG Money account is a credit agreement.

How to close a TFG account

TFG’s help article on closing a TFG account card says to contact TFG Money Customer Services and they will take care of it. There is no online closure form, so to close your TFG account use WhatsApp 0860 834 834 or email customerservices@tfg.co.za.

TFG account operating hours

TFG publishes two slightly different sets of hours. The TFG Money help page lists Monday to Saturday 8am to 9pm, Sunday 8am to 7pm and public holidays 8am to 5pm. TFG Limited’s contact page lists Monday to Saturday 08:30 to 21:00 and Sunday 09:00 to 19:00. Calling within the shorter window avoids any doubt, and WhatsApp self-service is available for balances and statements outside those hours.

TFG head office

TFG’s head office is at Stanley Lewis Centre, 340 Voortrekker Road, Parow East, 7500, Cape Town, with a switchboard on +27 21 938 1911 and a postal address of PO Box 6020, Parow East, 7501. Account and customer service queries should go to the numbers above rather than the switchboard.

The FIX contact details

The FIX’s website, thefix.co.za, now redirects to bash.com, so The FIX online shop and its support run through Bash. The FIX email address for online orders is Bash support at support@bash.com, or use the Help chat on bash.com. Bash support is available Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, and Saturday and public holidays 8am to 3pm. TFG does not publish a separate The FIX phone number or email on its contact page. TFG Money account queries for purchases at The FIX go to TFG Money Customer Services on 0860 834 834, not Bash support.
