Never buy a matric certificate. Selling and using forged qualifications is a criminal offence, employers verify through recognised services, and a forged certificate discovered years later costs the job and the reputation built on it.
ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory and is not a school or examination body.
After the results
- A re-check confirms the marks were added correctly; a re-mark has the script marked again. They are different applications, both with short deadlines and a fee, applied for through the school or the education department.
- Supplementary and second-chance examinations exist for candidates who failed or missed papers, with their own registration deadlines.
- A statement of results is not the certificate. The National Senior Certificate is issued afterwards and is the document employers want.
- Replace a lost certificate through the education department, not through anyone offering to reprint one.
Applying for further study
University, TVET and funding applications all close months before the year begins, and often before the final results are out. Applying with your preliminary marks and updating later is the normal route, not a fallback.
Applications are free at public institutions, and NSFAS costs nothing. No agent can secure a place, a residence or funding. A qualification from a foreign country must be evaluated by SAQA before it is recognised here.
School and examination details should be confirmed with the provincial education department, checked 25 August 2026.
