Ekurhuleni Springs Clinic Contact Details

Springs Clinic is a City of Ekurhuleni municipal clinic on the corner of Middle Six and Plantation Road in Springs. It replaced the old First Avenue Clinic, which is why searches for that name lead here. The City publishes its clinic directory as a single table, and the Springs entries in it carry a defect worth knowing about before you dial: several numbers are printed without their dialling code.

Take that last one carefully. The City directory prints the Springs Clinic reception number as six digits with no code, and as printed it will not connect. Every complete number in the same directory uses the 011 code, which makes 011 999 8792 the near-certain full form, but the City has not published it that way and this page is not going to assert a number the source does not give. If the reception line fails, the nursing number above is complete and verified.

The 011 999 1663 number is reliable because the same directory prints it twice: once in truncated form against Springs Clinic and once in full against the Springs mobile service, which is run by the same facility manager. That cross-check is what makes it safe to publish.

The directory also lists a personal cellphone number for the nursing services manager. That is not reproduced here. It belongs to an individual rather than to the clinic, and a municipal clinic should not be reached on a private mobile.

The mobile service is the one worth remembering. It is the only Springs facility in the City directory operating on Sundays and public holidays, and it runs twelve hour days where the fixed clinics close at 16:30. Its own reception numbers are printed in the directory in the same mangled form as the clinic ones, so use 011 999 1663.

Saturday opening sets this clinic apart from most in the City directory, where the great majority list Monday to Friday only. That makes the Saturday morning window genuinely useful and correspondingly busy, so arrive early rather than near the 14:00 close.

Raise a problem at the clinic first, with the chief professional nurse, who is the facility manager. Above that sits the manager of nursing services for the area on 011 999 8109, which is the correct next step for anything the clinic itself has not resolved.

Beyond that the route runs through the City of Ekurhuleni Health and Social Development department rather than through the Gauteng health department, because this is a municipal clinic. Sending a complaint about a City clinic to the province adds a redirection rather than a decision.
