The Polokwane campus is one of seven Tshwane University of Technology campuses, spread across Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga. TUT runs a single national enquiry line for all of them and does not publish a separate campus switchboard for Polokwane.

TUT contact details

The campus-visit line is answered from Pretoria and is listed by TUT against a named staff member. The number is published; the individual mailbox alongside it is a personal staff address and is not repeated here, because it changes when staff do. Use [email protected] in writing.

Who runs the Polokwane campus

The campus rector for Polokwane is Dr Walter Tshamano. TUT publishes the rector for each campus but does not publish a direct line for the Polokwane rector’s office, so correspondence for it goes through the national number or the general mailbox with the campus named in the subject.

The scam that targets Polokwane applicants

TUT publishes a standing scam alert, and it is worth repeating in full: academic and accommodation spaces are not for sale. Application and registration scams reach prospective students through social media, fake emails and fake websites, often promising a place at a campus for a fee. TUT asks that you trust only information published on tut.ac.za, on its official social media pages, or received from official TUT email addresses. If someone contacts you offering a Polokwane place for money, report it on 086 110 2421 or [email protected], and report the fraud attempt to the ethics hotline on 0800 006 924.
