Belgotex has five addresses in South Africa and every one of them says By Appointment Only. It is a manufacturer, not a retailer – you cannot walk into a Belgotex showroom off the street and buy carpet, and the company does not sell to the public directly. Belgotex contact details

The two numbers do different jobs. Customer care on 0800 014 777 is the general line and the right one for a homeowner with a question about an existing floor. The 011 number is specifications and sales, for architects, specifiers and commercial buyers working on a project – it reaches people who talk in performance ratings rather than colours.

The showrooms, all by appointment

Each showroom lists customer care on 0800 014 777 rather than a local number, so the appointment is booked centrally. Turning up without one is the usual reason people find a locked door.

Buying and fitting are two different searches

Belgotex publishes a Where to Buy directory of retailers and wholesalers, and a separate Find Installers directory of partner installers. They are not the same list. A retailer sells you the carpet; a partner installer fits it, and using one from Belgotex’s own list is what keeps the manufacturer in the conversation if the fit goes wrong. Ask which of the two you are dealing with before you pay a deposit.

Reporting something serious

Belgotex runs an anonymous tip-off hotline operated by Deloitte, on 0800 205 215 or [email protected], for dishonesty, corruption or unethical practice connected to the company. That is a separate channel from a product complaint – a faulty roll or a bad installation goes to customer care with the batch number and the invoice, not to the hotline.
