In South Africa the brand is not called Breville. It is called Sage, and there is no Breville South Africa to contact. Breville’s own website makes this explicit: its country chooser lists 38 locales and none of them is South African. The single South African entry is not a Breville site at all – it is an outbound link labelled South Africa (English) pointing to wingsgrouphome.co.za, which trades as Sage Appliances South Africa. Checked 7 September 2026.
Sage Appliances South Africa
- Telephone: +27 21 555 0700
- E-mail: [email protected]
- Live chat: a Chat with a Support Agent option on the support pages
- Operated by Wings Group, at wingsgrouphome.co.za
The Cape Town dialling code is the giveaway that this is a South African operation rather than an overseas desk. The mailbox is a general one at wingsgroup.co.za, not a Sage or Breville address, which is worth knowing so a reply from that domain does not look like a phishing attempt.
Same machines, different name on the box
If you own what you think of as a Breville, the South African site will still recognise it – the product names are identical. The Barista Express, the Barista Touch, the Oracle, the Bambino, the Bluicer, the Pizzaiolo, the InFizz and the Smart Ovens are all listed under Sage. It is the brand plate that changes between markets, not the appliance, which is why a manual downloaded from a Breville site generally matches a machine bought here.
Support is organised by machine, not by department
Sage South Africa runs an espresso machine support hub with a separate page for each model – the Oracle Jet, the Oracle Touch, the Barista Touch, the Barista Touch Impress, the Barista Express, the Barista Express Impress and the Bambino Plus among them. Finding your exact model on that hub before you call saves the first five minutes of the conversation, because descaling, grind settings and steam-wand faults differ by model.
Where a warranty actually sits
- A machine bought in South Africa is supported here, by Wings Group, under South African consumer law. Quote the invoice, not the international model code.
- A machine imported privately or bought overseas is a different matter. Ask before you send it in, because a grey import may not carry local cover.
- The site offers free shipping within South Africa on all orders, so a part or accessory ordered direct does not need a courier arranged separately.
