Eligibility, account or policy requirements

Standard Bank’s 2026 pricing, effective 1 January 2026, says that commission fees are negotiable and depend on the business’s profile, and that standalone devices include communication, so no separate agreement with a data provider is needed. The administration and installation fee is no longer charged for new sign-ups. Devices bought outright cost R1 999 excluding VAT for the SimplyBLU Pro and R1 299 excluding VAT for the SimplyBLU Pocket, and the brochure lists a monthly minimum merchant fee of R399 excluding VAT on its terminal options.

Escalation route

  1. Log the issue with Merchant Solutions and keep the reference.
  2. If it is not resolved, contact Standard Bank’s complaints team on 0860 101 101 or complaint.resolutioncentre@standardbank.co.za.
  3. If the bank’s final response does not settle it, the pricing brochure names the National Financial Ombud Scheme: 0860 800 900 or info@nfosa.co.za.
