Absa Car Finance Contact Details
Absa’s car finance number is 0860 669 669, the Absa Vehicle and Asset Finance line for new applications, application follow-ups, eContract questions and existing car loans. Shari’ah-compliant car finance has its own line, 0860 000 786. Absa does not advertise a payment holiday on its car finance pages. We read these details on absa.co.za on 16 September 2026, from the vehicle finance, application tracking and eContract pages and the Talk to us directory.
ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory and is not part of Absa. We cannot check an application, approve finance or change an instalment.

Dial the numbers by hand. On several Absa car finance pages the visible number is 0860 669 669 but the link behind it is coded to 0861 666 488, and on some pages the Islamic finance link is coded to 0860 100 876, which is Absa’s short-term insurance number.
Absa does not publish call centre hours for 0860 669 669 or 0860 000 786. For help in person, the car finance pages point you to your nearest Absa branch, which you can find with the branch locator on absa.co.za. Absa’s registered head office is Absa Towers West, 15 Troye Street, Johannesburg.
Product or service support
Absa Vehicle and Asset Finance finances new and used cars on an instalment sale agreement. Absa offers fixed or variable interest rates, and a deposit or a balloon payment lowers the monthly instalment.
After you apply, Absa sends an application number by email or SMS. Use it with your ID number in the online tracker to check progress or finish a saved application, or call 0860 669 669 and give the agent the number. If no number arrived, the tracker has a Request application number option.
Absa eContract lets you review and sign the finance agreement on a phone or computer. You still collect the delivery note and other papers at the dealership, and signed documents stay viewable in your eContract profile for seven days.
On payment holidays: none of the car finance pages we read offers one. If you cannot pay, Absa’s collections guidance lists short-term arrangements, a loan restructure, selling the car through HelpUSell or handing it back, and the same page’s debt help sections give 0861 222 272 (its collections paragraph prints 0860 222 272). It warns that the car secures the loan, so a sale that falls short of the balance leaves you owing the difference.
Eligibility, account or policy requirements
Two rules on Absa’s product page are worth knowing before you sign: the car must be insured, and you can settle early without a penalty if the amount financed is under R250 000.
To apply, Absa clients need a green barcoded ID or smart ID card, proof of address no older than three months and their latest payslip. The list for foreign residents and people who do not bank with Absa is a valid work permit and passport, an international driving licence, three months of bank statements and a payslip or letter of appointment. Absa says existing clients are fast-tracked.
To sign through eContract, have your ID, driving licence, proof of comprehensive car insurance and proof of residence ready.
