NuPay is not a lender. It is the payments and debit order platform of Altron FinTech, part of the Altron group, and businesses such as microlenders use it to collect instalments. Altron FinTech’s contact number is +27 10 060 4444 and its email is AFTInfo@altronfintech.com. If a “NuPay” debit order or a “NuPay loan” appears on your bank statement, the loan itself belongs to the business that uses NuPay, so start with that lender. We read fintech.altron.com on 16 September 2026; the old mynupay.co.za site no longer shows any content.

ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory. We are not NuPay or Altron FinTech and cannot trace, stop or refund a debit order.

What this organisation provides

Altron FinTech’s history page says the first NuPay transaction was processed on an Absa account on 14 November 1999, that NuPay NAEDO debit orders followed in 2007, and that Altech bought control of NuPayment Solutions in 2009. Altron FinTech went live with DebiCheck, which it says is still based on the original NuPay transaction. Its products now include debit order and DebiCheck collections, point of sale payments and payout products such as NuCard. DebiCheck requires the customer to authorise the debit order upfront. Customer stories on the site describe microlenders and a debt counselling firm collecting through NuPay.

The “loans” connection comes from Altron FinTech’s credit management software for micro-lending businesses: Delfin, Webfin, Webloans and Kwik Kadima. Webloans is an application portal a lender embeds in its own website. When you apply through it, you are applying to that lender, not to NuPay.

NuCard is a card a registered merchant loads with value for a consumer. Altron FinTech says it works at ATMs and at Mastercard point of sale terminals in South Africa only, cannot receive debit orders or your own deposits, and is not a bank account. To reset a forgotten PIN, SMS your ID number and the last four digits of the card to 34246.

Address and operating information

The Alberton head office is at the Altron Building, corner Ring Road East and Voortrekker Street, Newmarket Mall, Alberton, 1450. Other offices listed include the Altron Building, 1 Montgomery Drive, Mount Edgecombe, Durban, 4300, and Ground Floor, 167 Nelson Mandela Drive, Westdene, Bloemfontein, 9300.

NuPay’s merchant terms require every business collecting through it to hold a valid signed mandate for each debit order. A complaint of possible debit order abuse is one of the listed triggers for NuPay to investigate the merchant, and a merchant that cannot produce valid mandates can be fined R1 000 per non-compliant mandate, and NuPay can ask the Payments Association of South Africa to place it on a debit order abuse monitoring list.

Support and escalation routes

  1. Contact the lender named in your loan agreement and ask for a copy of the debit order mandate you signed and a statement of your account.
  2. If you never authorised the debit order, tell your own bank and report the merchant to Altron FinTech on +27 10 060 4444 or AFTInfo@altronfintech.com.
  3. A dispute with a lender about the loan itself goes to the National Financial Ombud Scheme on 0860 800 900 or info@nfosa.co.za. The National Credit Regulator (0860 627 627, complaints@ncr.org.za) confirms whether a lender is a registered credit provider.

If you do not recognise the lender at all, check your credit report for accounts opened in your name.
