To set up a payment arrangement or change a debit order on a TFG Money account, contact TFG Customer Services at customerservices@tfg.co.za or on WhatsApp 0860 834 834; TFG’s help centre names both tasks as theirs. To pay by EFT, the account number for payment is FNB 55790008020, branch code 204109, with your 19-digit TFG Money number as the reference. What you need before contacting

Have your 19-digit TFG Money account or card number ready, and know which payment plan you are on. The TFG Money account is store credit from Foschini Retail Group (Pty) Ltd, a registered credit provider, NCRCP 36. New accounts start on a 12-month payment plan. Customer Services can move you to a 6, 18 or 24-month plan, but the 18-month plan needs a minimum spend of R1,500 and the 24-month plan R2,500. TFG’s terms also allow it to extend your plan’s term to help you keep up, and it tells you in writing or by SMS when it does.

When money is tight. The account terms ask you to tell Customer Services as soon as your income changes or you lose your job. Collection costs are charged each time a payment is missed, short or late, if TFG has to write, SMS or call you about it. Before going to court, TFG must send a default notice, and it may propose a debt counsellor or another dispute route. Legal action is only allowed once you have been in default for at least 20 business days and 10 business days have passed since that notice. You cannot buy on the account while under debt review.

How payments are applied. A payment only counts once it reflects in TFG’s bank account, which must happen by the 1st of the month. Each payment covers unpaid interest first, then fees, and only then the amount you spent. Paying extra early is credited towards later instalments, except for fixed monthly items such as an airtime subscription.

Step-by-step contact process

  1. Contact Customer Services at customerservices@tfg.co.za or on WhatsApp 0860 834 834 as soon as your income changes, and ask for the arrangement or plan change you need.
  2. To pay by debit order, set it up online at mandate.qlink.co.za/tfgdebitorder, then approve the DebiCheck request your bank sends.
  3. To pay by EFT instead, use the FNB account above with your 19-digit number as the reference, early enough to reflect by the 1st.
  4. To cancel a debit order, give 30 days’ written notice. Cancelling does not close the account.

Debit orders. TFG’s debit order terms say that since 12 May 2025, if you decline or ignore the DebiCheck request, TFG may still collect under the underlying mandate as a registered mandate. If your account is short, TFG may track it and collect once funds arrive. The terms print the bank statement name as both TFGACCOUNT and TFGACC.

Escalation route

  1. Ask Customer Services for the arrangement in writing at customerservices@tfg.co.za, and keep TFG’s reply.
  2. If a debit order went off in breach of your mandate, TFG’s terms confirm you may dispute it through your bank under Payments Association of South Africa rules. TFG asks you to contact it first with any debit order question.
  3. If the account dispute stays unresolved, the National Financial Ombud Scheme, named in the TFG Money terms, takes complaints on 0860 800 900 or info@nfosa.co.za.
