You can buy a 1Voucher in store with cash at Shoprite, Checkers, Usave, PEP, Ackermans, Boxer, Pick n Pay, Spar and local spaza shops showing the green and black Flash cow sign. You can also buy one online with a bank card at 1voucher.co.za, in the 1Voucher app, or through banking and wallet apps such as TymeBank, Nedbank and MTN MoMo. 1Voucher’s FAQs print the call centre as “0861 169 3333”, which has an extra digit; its Contact page and website footer give the number as 086 169 3333, and the phone link dials 0861693333.
Didn’t get your voucher PIN?
If you bought a 1Voucher on the 1Voucher website and did not receive the SMS or email with your voucher number, email hello@1voucher.co.za with your name and surname, the voucher amount, the transaction date and the order number. 1Voucher says you should get feedback within 24 hours; if not, call 086 169 3333. If you bought it through TymeBank, Nedbank or MoMo, contact that provider on the numbers above. A lost PIN cannot be recovered: 1Voucher says a lost PIN “is like lost cash”, so write it down or take a photo of it.
How 1Voucher works
- The PIN: a 1Voucher is a 16-digit PIN that turns cash into a digital payment. Choose 1Voucher as the payment method on a partner’s website or app and enter the PIN.
- Validity: a PIN is valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.
- Change: if you do not use the full value, a change voucher is sent by SMS or through the partner’s platform; if you do not receive it, contact the merchant where you redeemed the voucher.
- Refunds: 1Vouchers are non-refundable, but you can load unwanted or small vouchers into the 1Voucher app and spend from there.
- Invalid PIN: retype it; if it still fails, the PIN may not have been generated by Flash Group. Call 086 169 3333 to investigate.
The 1Voucher app, on the App Store and Google Play, lets you spend, send and store your balance with no fees. 1Voucher can be used at participating retailers to pay for goods or accounts, including Russells, HiFi Corp and Incredible Connection, and at spaza shops with the Flash cow sign.
To redeem a 1Voucher, 1Voucher says to present the 16-digit PIN shown on your slip or in your 1Voucher app. Partners set their own return rules for goods bought with a 1Voucher, so check the retailer’s terms and conditions before returning an item.
