Official contact channels

Absa runs FASTBuy on two tracks, and the number to call depends on which one you are in:

You can also leave your details with the “Call me back” button on Absa’s FASTBuy page.

What this organisation provides

FASTBuy is exclusive to Absa Vehicle and Asset Finance customers and is voluntary. Absa says the platform has over 200 dealerships. You list the vehicle with pictures and an asking price, dealers make offers, and payment is done through the platform.

If you are not in financial distress, Absa sends you the three best offers. When you accept one, you get a six-digit PIN to give the dealer at handover, which releases the money into your AVAF account. You can reject an offer before you give the dealer your PIN.

If your AVAF account is in arrears, you may qualify for a rebate on the shortfall and can restructure payments with no additional costs or legal fees. You stay liable for any shortfall, and an unpaid shortfall is reported to the credit bureau until it is paid.

For other banks and vehicle financiers, browse the banking and finance hub or the banking directory A listings.

Address and operating information

FASTBuy is run online, so there is no FASTBuy walk-in office. Absa’s head office is Absa Towers West, 15 Troye Street, Johannesburg, Gauteng, 2000. Absa does not publish separate FASTBuy call centre hours on its FASTBuy page. Absa Bank Limited is a registered credit provider, NCRCP7.

Support and escalation routes

Absa does not publish a separate FASTBuy escalation line. For general vehicle finance help, Absa’s consultants are on 0860 789 555. If you are in arrears and want to sell, the HelpUSell email FASTBuyHUS@absa.africa is the written route, which gives you a record of your request.
