MFC is the vehicle and asset finance division of Nedbank. There is one thing to know before you start looking: MFC does not publish a customer telephone number. Its contact centre is reached through topic-based forms on its website, not by phone. Everything below was read from the MFC help centre on 31 August 2026.
Official contact channels
MFC asks you to choose a topic and complete the matching contact form, and commits to responding within one working day. The published topics are:
- General enquiries
- Online applications
- Vehicle cover
- Payment problems
- Auctions
- Compliments or complaints
Choosing the right topic matters more here than it would with a call centre, because the form routes your message to a specific team and there is no agent in the middle to redirect it. A payment problem submitted as a general enquiry simply waits longer.
You may find MFC telephone numbers on directory websites. MFC itself does not publish one on its help centre, so treat any such number with caution and verify it against Nedbank before giving out account information.
What this organisation provides
MFC finances vehicles and, increasingly, solar installations, and administers those agreements through to settlement. It also runs auctions of repossessed and surrendered vehicles, which is why auctions has its own contact topic.
Most account tasks are handled through the MFC self-service portal rather than by contacting anyone. MFC lists the following as available there, free of charge: personal and payment details, transaction history, settlement quotes, tax certificates, cross-border letters, registration papers and statements.
Two of those are worth knowing about in advance. A settlement quote is the figure you need before selling or refinancing a financed vehicle, and it is time-limited. A cross-border letter is the written permission you must carry to take a financed vehicle across a South African border – without it you can be turned back, and it cannot be arranged at the border.
Address and operating information
- Head office: Nedbank Ltd, 135 Rivonia Road, Sandown, Sandton
- Postal address: Client Value Management, PO Box 1144, Johannesburg, 2000, South Africa
The head office address is the Nedbank head office, which reflects that MFC is a division of the bank rather than a separate company. It is a corporate address, not a walk-in service centre for vehicle finance customers. MFC does not publish contact centre operating hours, only the one working day response commitment.
Because MFC forms part of Nedbank, the bank registration details apply to your agreement. Quote your MFC agreement number in every message.
Support and escalation routes
Use the compliments or complaints form first and keep a copy of what you submitted along with the date. With a form-based provider that written record is the only evidence you will have, so screenshot the submission before you send it.
If MFC does not resolve the matter, vehicle finance is a credit agreement and disputes are handled by:
- National Financial Ombud Scheme: 0860 800 900, [email protected] – for disputes about the agreement, fees, interest or how the account was handled
- National Credit Regulator: 0860 627 627, [email protected] – for reckless lending or the conduct of a registered credit provider
If the complaint concerns a repossession or an auction shortfall, act quickly and in writing. Those matters move on legal timelines that do not pause while a complaint is being considered.
