The Nedbank Voyager credit card, listed by Nedbank as the SAA Voyager Credit Card, has its own line: 0861 263 464, or 010 217 4213 from outside South Africa. If the cardholder has died, the account is handled by Nedbank Executor Services at estatesinland@nedbank.co.za, not by the card desk. For a lost or stolen card, the line to use is 0800 110 929, available at all hours.

Lost or stolen, from abroad010 217 4330

The lost and stolen card line is listed by Nedbank as available at all hours, while the Voyager card line is an ordinary service line. If a card is missing right now, use 0800 110 929 rather than waiting for the Voyager desk to open, and use 010 217 4330 if you are calling from abroad.

When the cardholder has died

Do not start with the card line. A credit card account forms part of the estate, and the card desk cannot act on it.

Wills and Trust ServicesSame number, financialplanning@nedbank.co.za
Beneficiary Solutions0800 220 290, NGBS@nedbank.co.za, weekdays 08:00 to 17:00

One caution on that number. Nedbank prints the Executor Services line as +27 80 268 6430, and the grouping is unusual for a South African service number, which normally runs 0800, 0860 or 0861 followed by six digits. We have reproduced it exactly as published rather than guessing at a correction. If it does not connect, email estatesinland@nedbank.co.za, which is unambiguous, or call the toll-free contact centre on 0800 555 111 and ask to be put through to Executor Services. Email is the better route for an estate anyway, because it creates the paper trail an executor needs.

Three Nedbank desks that sound alike

Nedbank lists three separate services around death and inheritance, and they do different jobs. Picking the wrong one is the usual reason an estate query goes in circles.

Executor Services administers the estate itself. This is the one you want if a Voyager card account has to be settled and closed. Nedbank describes it as administering your estate in accordance with your wishes.

Wills and Trust Services is about planning ahead, drawing a will and providing for heirs. It shares a telephone number with Executor Services but uses a different mailbox, financialplanning@nedbank.co.za. If you are the one making arrangements rather than winding an estate up, this is the desk.

Beneficiary Solutions, on 0800 220 290, deals with beneficiaries’ needs. It has its own toll-free number and mailbox, NGBS@nedbank.co.za, and set weekday hours of 08:00 to 17:00. Of the three, only Beneficiary Solutions publishes an ordinary toll-free number and clear hours, so it is the easiest to reach if you are unsure where to begin and need a person to point you.

The miles are SAA Voyager’s, the card is Nedbank’s

This card is a co-branded product, and that split matters when an estate is involved. Nedbank holds the credit card account. The balance, the statements, the card itself and closing the account are Nedbank’s, and the numbers above are the right ones. The Voyager rewards programme is South African Airways’. Accrued miles, the membership itself and what happens to a member’s miles are governed by the airline’s programme rules, not by the bank. Nedbank’s card desk cannot rule on them. An estate therefore typically holds two conversations: close the card with Nedbank on 0861 263 464 or through Executor Services, and take the miles question to SAA Voyager through the programme’s own published channels. Ask Nedbank to confirm in writing when the card account is closed, because that is what the Voyager side will want to see.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Nedbank Voyager credit card contact number?

0861 263 464 for the SAA Voyager Credit Card, or 010 217 4213 from outside South Africa. A lost or stolen card goes to 0800 110 929 at any hour, or 010 217 4330 from abroad.

What is the Nedbank Voyager credit card email address?

Card queries go through the card line. For a deceased cardholder’s estate, the address is estatesinland@nedbank.co.za.

How do I report a lost or stolen Nedbank Voyager card?

Call 0800 110 929, which Nedbank lists as available at all hours, or 010 217 4330 from abroad. Do not wait for the ordinary Voyager desk to open.

Who handles a Nedbank Voyager card when the cardholder has died?

Executor Services, at estatesinland@nedbank.co.za or on the number Nedbank prints as +27 80 268 6430. The card desk cannot act on a deceased estate.

What happens to the Voyager miles when a cardholder dies?

The miles belong to the SAA Voyager programme, not to Nedbank, and are governed by the airline’s programme rules. Nedbank’s card desk cannot rule on them, so the miles question goes to SAA Voyager through its own published channels.
