Nedbank credit card collections email address
Nedbank’s contact and debt assistance pages do not list an email address for credit card collections. The written route is the “Call me back for debt assistance” form on personal.nedbank.co.za/borrow/debt-assistance.html. Nedbank says it will call you back within 48 hours. The form asks you to:
- Choose the product: Credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or Credit card (Amex). Home loans, vehicle or asset finance, personal loans and student loans are also listed.
- Enter your name and surname, your ID or passport number and a contact number. An email address is optional.
- Choose a solution: payment arrangement, short-term payment relief, restructure, debt consolidation, assisted sales, or “Help me choose”.
What Nedbank offers when a credit card payment is missed
Nedbank’s debt assistance page lists these options for credit card customers:
- Payment arrangement: instead of paying missed payments as one lump sum, you agree a plan that spreads them over a few months. Nedbank offers this on home loans, vehicle finance, student loans, overdrafts and credit cards.
- Debt consolidation: if you have several smaller loans with different creditors, you can combine them into one loan with one monthly payment.
- Debt counselling: Nedbank describes this as a legal process in which a certified debt counsellor assesses your finances and negotiates a repayment plan with your creditors.
Restructures, which extend the repayment period, are listed for personal loans, home loans and vehicle finance but not for credit cards. Assisted sales are only for MFC vehicle finance and home loan clients.
Nedbank credit card collections call centre: before you call
- Have your ID or passport number and your credit card account number ready.
- Work out what you can afford each month. Nedbank’s own four steps start with listing all your debt, then reviewing your income, expenses and budget.
- Decide which of the options above you are asking for.
- Write down the date, the reference number and what was agreed.
You can also message Enbi, Nedbank’s 24/7 assistant, in the Money app or Online Banking. If a caller claims to be collecting a Nedbank card debt, phone Nedbank yourself on one of the numbers above to confirm the account before you pay anyone.

The head office and regional offices share the number +27 10 224 8000, which is answered Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30. Nedbank does not publish a separate Sandton number for credit card collections, so use the debt assistance line 0801 114 949 for arrears.
