Nedbank Credit Card Increase Contact Details

Verified 23 September 2026Official source onlyIndependent directoryReport a wrong number

To ask for a Nedbank credit card increase, call the Nedbank Contact Centre on 0800 555 111, which is toll-free and open 24/7, or apply in the Nedbank Money app or Online Banking. Nedbank’s card pages say you can change your credit limit on request or apply to increase your limit. We read this on nedbank.co.za on 23 September 2026.

There is no separate “limit increase” number. The contact centre number above is the one to use, and which card line you fall under depends on whether yours is a Nedbank, American Express or SAA Voyager card.

How the increase works

  • A limit increase is a credit application, so it is assessed against affordability. Nedbank words it as applying to increase your limit, not as a setting you switch on.
  • Lowering a limit is different: Nedbank describes changing your credit limit on request, and a reduction is generally the simpler of the two.
  • Expect to provide current income and expense information, and be ready for a credit check.
  • The app and Online Banking are the fastest route; the contact centre is there when the app will not let you proceed.

If your limit was reduced rather than increased, that is usually a risk decision on the account, and the contact centre is the place to ask for the reason.

Before you ask for more credit

Two figures from Nedbank’s own card pages are worth checking against your statement first. The minimum repayment on its credit cards is 5% of the outstanding balance, and the cards offer up to 55 interest-free days depending on the card. A bigger limit does not change either: it changes how much you can owe.

The monthly fees differ sharply by card. Nedbank’s published figures range from a R65 monthly maintenance fee on one card to a R535 service and facility fee on a card requiring a minimum income of R62,500 a month. If you are asking for a higher limit because the card is under strain, compare the fee on your card with the others before upgrading.

What else you can do in the app

  • Block, replace, freeze and unfreeze the card. Nedbank also gives 0800 110 929 for this, at any hour.
  • Set transfer and withdrawal limits.
  • Create virtual cards for online payments without exposing your physical card details; some cards allow up to 10 free.
  • Link the card to Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Fitbit Pay or Garmin Pay, and scan to pay with QR codes.

One caution when reading Nedbank’s card pages: the American Express section prints an incomplete telephone number for ordering a complementary card. Do not dial a number that is a digit short; use 0860 119 966 or the contact centre instead.

These are the lines Nedbank lists under Card on its contact page. The name on the front of your card tells you which row applies; the corporate lines are for company cards issued through an employer rather than personal ones.

If your card is lost, stolen or used fraudulently

Call 0800 110 929 immediately, or block the card in Online Banking or the Money app, then phone. From outside South Africa the number is +27 10 217 4330. Merchants querying a card machine transaction use 0860 114 966. Do not discuss a limit increase or any card detail with someone who phoned you: end the call and dial 0800 555 111 yourself.
