Nedbank publishes no telephone number dedicated to credit card applications. Its card pages carry an online application flow and no application desk number, so an application by phone goes through the general contact centre.
Official provider route
- Nedbank contact centre, toll free and 24 hours: 0800 555 111
- Or apply online, in the Money app, or at a branch
Product or service support
Applying is not the same as enquiring about an existing card. The contact centre handles both, but an application in progress is tracked against an application reference rather than a card number, so keep whatever reference you were given.
Eligibility, account or policy requirements
A credit card is a credit agreement under the National Credit Act, so Nedbank must carry out an affordability assessment before granting one. That means proof of income and expenses, not only identification, and it is why an application cannot simply be approved over the phone on request.
Escalation route
A refused application is not in itself a complaint matter, since a credit provider may decline. If you believe the assessment was handled improperly, the National Credit Regulator on 0860 627 627 oversees credit providers, and the National Financial Ombud Scheme on 0860 800 900 covers banks.
