TymeBank Credit Card Contact Details
TymeBank does not issue a credit card. Nothing on its own site offers one, and the card it does give you is a debit card linked to your everyday account, plus a virtual version of it in the app. If you are looking for a TymeBank credit card contact number, the honest answer is that the product does not exist and the number below is the general one.
Contact details
- Customer Care, call and WhatsApp: 0860 999 119
- Email: service@gotyme.co.za
- Complaints: complaints@gotyme.co.za
- From outside South Africa: +27 11 327 6244
- In-app chat, in the GoTyme Bank app
Head office hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00. The contact centre, in-app chat and WhatsApp run daily from 07:00 to 18:00, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Messages sent outside those hours are answered when the channel reopens.
The bank is now GoTyme Bank
The app has been rebranded. TymeBank states that the old TymeBank app retires on 6 September 2026 and that customers should download the GoTyme Bank app and log in with their existing details. Your account, card and balances carry over. The email addresses have moved to the gotyme.co.za domain already, which is why messages to an old tymebank.co.za address may not reach anyone.
That transition is exactly the moment scammers wait for. A rebrand gives them a plausible reason to ask you to reinstall an app, confirm your details or re-register your card. Download the app only from the official app store listing, and never from a link in a message.
The credit TymeBank actually offers
- TymeBank Personal Loans
- MoreTyme, its buy-now-pay-later facility
- Interest-Free Advances and TymeAdvance
- GrantAdvance, for social grant recipients
These are credit agreements, not a card, and they are regulated as such. TymeBank publishes its registrations in its own footer: Authorised Financial Services Provider FSP 49140 and Registered Credit Provider NCRCP 10774, TymeBank Limited registration number 2015/231510/06. You can check that credit provider number on the National Credit Regulator register, and it is worth doing before you accept any offer that uses the TymeBank name.
If you have a card problem
Call 0860 999 119 immediately to block a bank account, card or banking profile if you think you have been defrauded, and change your PIN in the app if you believe it has been shared. The same number handles a lost or stolen card. A virtual card can be locked and unlocked instantly from the app, which is faster than any phone call and worth doing first while you dial.
If the bank does not resolve your complaint
Email complaints@gotyme.co.za or ask Customer Care on 0860 999 119 to record the complaint directly. If you are unhappy with the outcome, the National Financial Ombud Scheme takes banking complaints free of charge, within three years of the event, on 0860 800 900 or at info@nfosa.co.za.
